Newbie need help
 

I practice and I practice but i still aint good enough. Below is a list of what I do.
-I have my own scope (with a dot in the middle) it's very accurate
-I have my own cross hair (green cross hair and the middle is black and thinner
-I put the mouse sensitivity to the max
-I learned to walk when i hear someone in the next room
-I learned all of the maps
-This is my key order
a=tilt head left
s=strafe left
d=walk back
f=strafe right
g=tilt head right
e=walk foward
r=use key
t=reload

Can anyone improve me like maybe a good website that has stuff like how to approach a door or window and stuff like that. I really need better aiming. I also would like indivisual tips to improve my games

The only way you'll get better is through practice and more practice..there is nothing anyone can really tell you to make you a better player...

If you want a place to get practice with a bunch of great guys with no cheating and no bullshit tolerated from anyone come to this server..

We aren't the best out there..never claim to be,but we can hold our own against most we play against..

And pay no heed to most of the people here as they are only going to try and start a flame war or cause trouble of some kind or simply spam someone elses post....as the post above shows.

here are some console commands u can use to help you

cinematic 0 -that will turn off background music

bind a"+moveleft;+leanleft"
bind d"+moveright;+leanleft" -these will make u lean when strafing.. so u dont have to use z and c. makes it a lot easier!

also, use a blood mod if u dont have one already.

also: i suggest trying to find a server that is rifle only. that is the hardest gun to get down.. once u have that down, u will own!

who do u even use your mouse? man your keys are weird.. use the defaults

w=walk forward
a=srafe left
d=strafe right
s=walk back
e=use
r=reload

hey, man all u gotta do iz keep practising use strats dont just stand there ilke a sitting duck. Go online and be a spectator and look at wat ppl have got. Also know ur keyz like strafe, what key = wat weapon shit like that.

Nah the default keys are kinda dumb.
w=forward
a=strafe left
s=back
d=strafe right
q=lean left
e=lean right
f=use
r=reload
caps lock=run/walk toggle
c or ctrl=duck
space=jump
g=drop weapon (you can sometimes trick the other team if you have one of their weps)
x=holster weapon (this lets you run faster

I use this setup and it is absolutely perfect You should try it. Your current setup is what's getting your ass kicked

You will not develop more skills doing this. What it will do is make you learn how the console works. Binding more than one command to the same key = lame. You look like an arse if you have this setup. A real good player can do without, so learn how to master the keyboard.

By the way, In my opinion the keypad is the best:

keypad 7: lean left
8: move forward
9: lean right
4: strafe left
5: move backward
6: strafe right

Configure the rest of the keys around the keypad to your convenience.

A good setup helps, but what really helps is practice. Practice a lot.

Man, I was terrible at MoHAA the first day I played (joining that server with lots of experienced people didn't help either).

And I forgot this:

Keep moving

No matter in what direction, always keep moving. A statue is easy to hit.

DO NOT let people get you down my calling you a n00b and makin fun of you. They were all new once and we all know we sucked when we first started out.. lol, what i am trying to say is.. when someone calls you a n00bie and makes fun of you, use it to your advantage and SHOW THEM WHOS BOSS and get PAYBACK!!!

why does it matter if u have more then 1 key do something at once?

Binding lean and strafe together can affect you negatively if you need only to lean around a corner or just strafe. It's not that hard to do it seperately anyways if you change the key configuration to my above setup.

If you bound lean and strafe to the a and d keys, couldnt you still just simply lean with the default z and c keys?

yes, but you cannot just strafe either. Leaning while sidestepping will not help you dodge fire better against a good player anyway, you lean so far over, and a good player knows how far that is and... headshot. Easy. People who randomly tap and hold lean for different ammounts of time are harder to hit anyway.
