I've had both and find both comparable.

It really depends on your location and the level of service you purchase. Locally, our cable is superior to dsl, at least from my experience.

Fireal 04-15-2003 11:48 AM

what service do you have...
Im looking for new service but there is only one cable company in Albuqueruque

CABLE!

As was said earlier, it depends on the service you purchase.

Speakeasy DSL completely decimates any competition by offering 1.5mb/768kb up/down speeds. Cable, at best, will generally give you 1.5mb/300kb - and that is at best. Quite often your upload speeds will be closer to 100kb, or even less if there is high traffic.

I have cable, by the way. Only because Speakeasy isn't offered here.

It all depends on your town/city. If you live in a town, which most likely hasn't upgraded their phone lines in 25 years... then you're best bet is to get cable.

However, if you live in a big city that keeps up with the times... you might find DSL mor rewarding.

Cable, although ADSL can be better than both.
