God can rot for what I care. But really? YEah im athiest I dont care if people say im going to hell for not "Believing" I dont care. They will be going to hell for saying im going to hell so to hell with them right?

well, given my scientific background I cannot prove nor disprove the existance of God (or various Gods like early religions),
however science CAN DISPROVE a LITERAL INTERPRETETION of the Bible.

SO I say that man was created by evolution, but I do not deny that a higher being created evolution.

Personally, I could care less about the religious beliefs of others. They could believe in the gods of ancient Greek or Roman mythology, it doesn't make any difference to me.

Personally I do not truly follow one religion or another, as they appear to be irrational, however, I do not deny the existance of some form of a Supernatural being.

I'm not fussed about religion and have never been.

Religion is a powerful thing. Considering millions of people have believed in something that they've never ever physically seen (Or has proven categorically to exist) for thousands of years then it would have to be.

I still have yet to see clearly how believing in what is essentially a story told over thousands of years would give someone inner peace. A person could be the most devoted follower of their religion and still not be happy.

Most religions I see just impose irrational and out-dated restrictions on the way you behave in life.

All very well and good if that involves morall laws (Don't kill, steal, etc) but when it comes to stopping people from enjoying their lives so they can hopefully reach paradise when they die seems pointless to me.

You cannot prove that there is a heaven (or whatever, depending on the religion or belief) but you can prove that someone living strictly by their religion is likely to have less fun during their life. And for what?

A hope that they will go on to a glorious after-life.

All religions seem to promise that. It seems a little desperate to me.

It's all very well to have beliefs and stick to them and I respect that. I just don't understand it and never really will, I suspect.

I have many things that give me contentment in life and they are all tangible.

I try my best to be a good person and not to hurt anyone, so if I am going to "Hell" for that, then so be it.

But, seeing as I had no conscience before I was alive I very much doubt that, when my brain dies, I will still be conscious of something thereafter.

I'd rather enjoy what I have now than hope for something that I have no guarantee of getting later.

So, I don't mind religion. I am just not too bothered by it myself.

it boils down to this.... i use to be atheist, then agnostic, now im a believer why?

yessssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss, if u took some time to read the bible man, u'd really understand much more(i should take my own advice on that). I gurantee 100%, if u read the bible, not whole but just bits and pieces, i bet u wouldnt be coming here dissing God and ppl who beleive in em. Hell, noone could do that

im agnostic...i really have no idea if there is a god or not. In that way i think everyone is agnostic in a sense, even the most dedicated catholics or buddhists or muslims can never be 100% sure there is a God, just like non beleivers cant be 100% sure there isnt one.
i used to believe but thats because it was how i was raised...to believe in god. Some people say that its better to believe in a god than none at all because its safe. I thought about this, but I want to believe in a God because i truely believe, not because I want to be on the safe side. The universe is just too complicated and too deep for any of us to ever be able to comprehend.

BLitz your just pissed I left. You know its gonan come back to haunt you. and I was never dissing "GOD". just merely wanted people to really think. Dont listen to anything, think of anything except whether or not there is a Supreme being
