Newfoundlander Killed In Afghanistan

http://www.ctv.ca/servlet/ArticleNews/s ... TopStories

I heard the report of a Canadian soldier who was killed overnight in Kabul. I just recently found out that it was a Newfoundlander by the name of Jamie Brendan Murphy.

I am so mad and deeply saddened right now. I hope the cowardly bastard who did this is enjoying his stay in the bowels of the foulest hell.

God love ya, Cpl. Murphy.

Being a Newfoundlander myself, it just hit home so much harder, ya know. He was due home next Friday when his tour was up.

So unbelieveably sad.

He was killed by a suicide bomber. Sad, and so close to coming home.

Why the hell would you target peacekeeping forces? RIP

Yeah I heard this last night. it's really very sad. I couldn't imagine making it through six months, then the week your supposed to come home die. I feel sorry for the family having to go through that. And all families and soldiers around the world dying every day.

You think that Clark is gonna pull out if he becomes president? I truely doubt it. Even on his site he says that hes gonna keep fighting. Also he wants to direct some of the resources from Iraq back into Afganhistan.

i find that incredibly saddening, all these pointless deaths...this should not be happening, and bush should of pulled our troops out of there after the first death.

we can't do that.
I don't like Bush, but:
1. We MUST finish routing the Taliban in Afghanistan and help rebuild it if we are to stop Bin Laden.
2. Although going into Iraq was somewhat of a mistake, we must stay the course or we will have an Iran-style Islamic state on our hands and we'll have to go fight them again 10 years down the road.
