Musicians Live?
On Wednesday night, I went to see GANG STARR live....
It was easily the best concert I have EVER been too, DJ Premier & Guru were the best entertainers, and they weren't arrogant wankers like heaps of other rappers turn out to be, when they tour....So anyways: How many concerts have you been too and which was, in your opinion, the best one overall? DANKE! happy: |

Iron Maiden
Bell Centre, Montreal January 20th, 2004 Oh my fucking jeebus, whatta show! I've seen Maiden 3 times since 1999 and each show gets better and better. The band is nothing but pure talent, magic, and showmanship. Awesome schtuff. Close (but no cigar) mentions to go: KISS - Corel Centre, Ottawa Ozzy Osbourne w/Voivod - Corel Centre, Ottawa Summersault '01 (A Perfect Circle, The Smashing Pumpkins, Our Lady Peace, Foo Fighters, etc) - Rideau Carleton Raceway, Ottawa Edgefest '02 (Tool, Sevendust, Gob, etc) - Molson Park, Barrie |
The only real concert ive been to is Wide Mouth Mason. They were pretty good. Holly McNarland played before tem and she was pretty good as well.
Iève seen a bunch of other bands play at the coca cola stage at the Calgary Stampede every year. Basically every night for 2 weeks there is a different band playing on the stage for free. |
too many....
Bad Brains at Madames in DC (80s) Free Fugazi shows in DC Napalm Death at 930 with Godlflesh/Carcass/Cathedral (90-91..saw them twice on that tour) Napalm Death/Bolt Thrower/Cathedral/Clutch-Rage in Baltimore (91?) Napalm Death/Sepultura/Sacred Reich/Sick of It All ( saw this tour 4 times in 4 diff cities (Bmore/DC/Pittsburgh/Philly...we were driving in a monster truck with 36 inch super swampers and 4 inch lift. i slpet in the truck bed while we went road triping..drunk off my ass for the entire trip. we ended up in Ocean City Md with nothing left to eat but stolen cheese shakers form some pizza joint and granola cereal on hot dog buns oOo: ). Any Pig Destroyer/Pg99 show in Baltimore (too many to name but they all rawked) Burnt By The Sun/Cattlepress in NJ shore (worked 14 hours..picked up the little woman drove 3 hours..rawked out...almost fell asleep on the way home. Wife and I had to listen to the most annoying music to keep us awake..Cannibal Corpse-Eaten Back to Life and Dillinger Escape Plan) Melvins at Black Cat in DC Fantomas at Black Cat in DC Mr Bungle at Black Cat in DC Messada (john Zorn from Naked City) at Black Cat Neurosis/Isis at Fletchers in Bmore ....so many more...i could go on and on and on and on and on and on.... |
Well it'll easilly be the MArch 25th Dream Theater toronto concert when I attend it that is.
I really enjoyed seeing Run DMC live |
The only major concerts I have gone to were a Weezer concert with sparta and DC(blah). And a 3eb, goo Goo dolls one. HTe most impressive was hte weezer show but the goo goo dolls show was a hell of a lot funnier. then there are all the small local shows which can either be good as in my last b-day or bad as when I fell asleep to one of the 4 1/2 foot tall amps booming with bass.

been at the warped tour went through philly. my guitar teacher got me back stage passes. very fun time.
|
Saw a local punk bad 2 years ago in summer, sucked.
