like goldeneye, a truly good game will never stop being played

i havent played in months and its time i started again

first of all:

the pokemart is down : (, so is there anywhere else to get all those amazing models?

any place i can get sturmbots besides fileplanet where there is a huge wait?

and what has steam done to dod, i paid absolutely no attn to it

well pokemart and the pokemon clan is down. One of the ex members, Charizard or whatever, wanted to try out for my clan and stuff. You can try http://www.schlex.net it's in german but it's fairly updated and such. If not try the dayofdefeat.com forums under model releases and such.

Awesome game, but i forgot the sites i use to dl shit from. I know there are like 2 really good sites. Go on to some servers and ask around.

Avalanche, that map sucks so much dick its not funny, only map in the game were 9/10 the germans will win, allies by all rights should not win on that map at all due to the advantage of placement the germans have.

i like it cuz the battles are more drawn out, and i have won with allies many times, you need to be able to organize a good assault in order to get a foothold and take the top of the hill...avalanche

Its ok saying that but on pubs how often do you see teamwork? Any teamwork is accidental cause people are too worried about their kill\death ratio even though the scoring system was changed to mkae that second priority to the actual objectives. Far as i know the only real reason avalanche is in the game is because valve made the map. Been plenty of other far better maps that could have taken its place but because its a map from the company that ownns the game its based on, they wont remove it.

what are your fav indie made maps?

Don't really play any of the made maps, i played dod a ton when it was in early beta stages 1.xx up to about 2.0. Back then may favourite maps were probably, caen, cherbourg, seg-3, snowtown , oslo and that railyard one (can never remember the name).

Then they start removing the popular mpas and then put in crap like avalanche, probably around the time i started losing intrest coupled with the fact that the kar had become a railgun aznd is still that to this day.

Dod was a good mod, but they messed with the formula too much, they went from saying "its meant to be realistic" to tooling about with everything and stating "its not meant to be that realistic" bla bla bla. Now they seem to cater towards the clan players more so than the immediate community. =/

AVA!? QUE PAS?

It's a horrible map to say the least. The only good stock maps are Anzio,Chemille,Donner and maybe Meredet....sometimes..

A few good custom maps are CR44,Saints,RailRoad2 and maybe Solitude...
