can you burn songs you d/l from itunes on to cds?

because i dont have an ipod, and i am deciding wether to make an itunes account or not.

Himmler's correct, you can burn your purchased music to CD. There is a limit on the amout of times you can burn a playlist of your purchased tunes though, I think it's 10 times. (Might be 7, I think I remember reading something about Apple lowering the limit a while ago.)
