Ha - what is that Sociology 100. . .I remember it fondly. MALTHUS would hardly be concerned with Bird Flu. His theory was based on population growth and "abundance" (or lack there-of) of resources; unless of course youre looking at the situation as the United States (and the world) being able to effectively control Bird Flu BECAUSE of population growth (which isnt rapid in industrialized states).
