MOH Airborne Demo Out Now

Oh. My. God. I didn't think I was going to buy MOHA before I built my new computer, but Christ this might push me over the edge. MOHAA is still my favorite MP game ever. It had the perfect combination of requiring skill to dominate while not being a complete Quake fest (at least in clan matches).

Demos (sp) out soon'ish (hopefully this or next week) so that will give a good indicator. Just hope the mp is worthwhile, pacific assault was shit...if airborne can be at least as fun as MOH:AA then it should be around for a few years to come. And if ea were smart if they introduced any new mp modes in expansions they should also release patches to incorperate these modes into airborne so as not to split the community up like spearhead and breakthrough did. The main incentive of an expansion is more sp action so the addons would still sell for that element alone. Ea should be onto a winner here with the whole airdrop system, in single player if the ai works the way ea says it works then the airdrop thing could make you play levels dozens of time landing in a different area every time. In multi it should also add a lot, not spawning around the map ala quake 3..just upto them how much use the airdrop system is and how it adds to the game. |
I'm hoping I can run the game on low settings. 1950 GT, 3 GHz Pentium 4 (ugh) right now. I don't want to wait until November/December when I build my new system to play this. I wasn't excited about it until I saw the MP videos. I can run fairly modern games on my current system on max settings with little problem (Splinter Cell Double Agent, Oblivion, etc). I'm hoping that's strong enough to give me 35-40 frames a second on low settings on an Unreal 3.0 game.

Rainbow 6 vegas runs on UE3 but its runs like crap on a lot of systems mainly because it was a lazy port over.
I think it should run ok on medium settings, it looks good but its not a graphical ground breaker in any sense of the word. |

still be able to get under the map at remagen when you climb up the roof of the building and jump down the back then that alot of servers patches by putting a crashed plane oddly into the edge of the roof? lol |
