Office LAN Gaming
So, it looks like the engineers here want to get their fucking asses handed to 'em by Zonah...
They approached me today and asked my opinion on what shooter we should start playing in the office. My first reaction was the original Call of Duty, as our machines here aren't top of the line gervis gaming units. Nyck suggested Quake III Arena. What say you? Keep in mind that the comps are averaging 2.0GHz and 1GB RAM...no idea about video. I'm running WinXP through Parallels on a new iMac. |
COD for sure, plus, thats what they play in The Office rock:
|
LOOL! You don't SNIPE on CARENTAN!
|
Go for COD, even though I haven't played the MP.
ID are eventually releasing Quake 3 Zero, which you can play in any web browser for free. So that may be good in the future when boredom strikes |
my vote goes to unreal tournament
|
CoD for me :)
|
I said quake 3 because any piece of shit pc can run it, and its free now. no bullshit license hax or reg codes
we play it here in the office http://www.pcworld.com/downloads/file/f ... ption.html |
Unreal Tournament is so old school but it is still cool. download so good map packs and the fun never stops. plus im sure any computer can play it with max settings.
|
Getting OpenGL errors with this piece of shit when trying to launch Quake 3. I'm running WinXP under Parallels on a newish iMac.
I can't figure out how to update the extremely generic "Parallels Video Driver". cuss: |
quake 3 arena for sure
|
The error in particular seems to be: "Q_strncpyz: NULL src"
|
COD!
Zoner, remember when Himmler and I used to rock you and LLC? :) Those were the days. Which episode of The Office do they play COD in? |
Zone, i vote COD if the machines can run it.
Back in the day at a place i worked at, we played HL via LAN. We never got shit done.....all we did was game. Someone noticed and had all the shit removed after a few months.....lol, good times !! |
