what in the hell is a tracer,??
a lighted up round to see where you are shooting, someone else probaly can explain it better though
waffenampt im looking at you for your help here, your the most educated one probably on this.
Hells-Angel took care of it pretty well without getting to detailed. It is merely a bullet that lights up when you fire it. The reason it lights up is so that the gunner can see where his bullets are going. This comes very useful for fighter pilots.
so how does the bullet light up, whats on it that does it?
Well see this screenshot! PLEASE DONT KILL ME FOR USING YOU SCREENSHOT 2015 AND MI TROOPER AND EA!! http://smileysgamehut.homestead.com/...ch_05_edit.jpg

why would they kill you people put pictures on here all the time.
actually the bullets they were using on d-day were wooden so I dont see how they made tracers I have a quote from a d-day book right here
"The tide was coming in and our beach was getting smaller. We could see the bodies of the dead rolling in the surf. Our company commander took a shrapnel wound to his left leg that was so severe, the medic couldnt stop the bleeding and he bled to death. The company executive officer, second in command, took over and he had the company for less than an hour when a sniper got him. The germans were using wooden bullets and they left a nasty wound" sorry for that boring thing |
Except for Blank Firing/Training purposes, I've never ever heard of a "Wooden Bullet." And the Principal is completly backwords. I think the Old soldier just has a couple memories of equipment mixed up.
A Tracer round is a normal bullet, with the rear cast and formed differently to except a small amount I highly visably burning compound that is ignited by the propellent charge.. To say the least. |
dont ya think the veteran would know though
maybe it's just a term, but I never heard of it before.
LOL !! Settle down Lud http://www.pcgamers.net/ubb/smile.gif Here ya go, hope this helps and explains it, Waffenampt said it all though...
