video capture
what you need to do is go get a program called 'video source'. you need to search the web for it, sorry i dont have the exact source. after you download and install this program you'll be able to use it to capture a maximum of 5 minutes of video each time you start. good question. good luck.

i cant find that program
anyone have it? |
video capture
sorry, i've been mistaken. the program name is "capture guage". sorry for the mistake...that progam that i mentioned earlier is only for certain imported programs. again i'm sorry.
|
there is no capture gauge
who has the actual program?? |
Or you could get a video card with an S-video output. Then just hook it up to a VCR or recorder of some kind (Hi-8 or DV). Thats what I did. It's much eaiser then using software that usally won't do 30 fps or 24 fps. The most I have seen software like that do is 15 fps not full screen. Because most of it is made for corprate presentations and not for watching game movies online.

video capture
The best "freeware" program out there is one called Camtasia, made by the same people who produced SnagIt a while ago. You can DL it free and have a 30 day free trial period.
Be warned though, I have a top of the line Dell Dimension 8200 and the best framerate I could manage to get was still under 10fps (full screen mode). The best reults I got was blocking out roughly a 240x360 area around my crosshairs and having the program capture only that. The suggestion to use a VCR hooked up to your s-video out is your best option if you're looking for high detail and framerate. Good luck! |
u might want to also search the forum. i have seen other poelple post that king of stuff and u might find an answer there.

or
if you can hit 30 keys per second... you could print scrn all along the map and then import all the pics into flash... but
no one can do that anyway so don't try. |

[quote="ToK Parker":dbc85]if you can hit 30 keys per second... you could print scrn all along the map and then import all the pics into flash... but

But you WONT be happy with what you get!!! here is a bit of script to set the commands to a toggle (so you can hit a key to start/ hit it again to stop). Type each line separately into the console, then in game you would hit the "F" key to start/stop (with the example code below that is)! [code:dbc85]set avion "cl_avidemo 30; set nextavi vstr avioff" set avioff "cl_avidemo 0; set nextavi vstr avion" set nextavi "vstr avion" bind f "vstr nextavi"[/code:dbc85] what you get is 30 screenshots per second... BUT on my 1.6GHz 512DDR Ram w/ Radeon 64DDR computer the frame rate in game dropped so low... It was absolutely unplayable!! Not to mention that every other screenshot was all black... I haven't found a good software (desktop recorder type) proggy yet that doesn't drastically f0rk the frame rate either... so it might be that the best way IS with external capture!! |
