i heared that it is supposed to be a love story or something

BlueDevil 06-18-2001 03:08 AM

i dont know... watch the preview and see for yourself. It shows mostly battle scenes and fighting so it doesnt appear to be just a love story. It cant be as Lovie-dovie as Pearl Harbor <-----i still liked it though

J.Patterson 06-18-2001 09:22 AM

Guns of Navarone was a true story about a team of 5 or 6 men n 2 women who were sent on a mission 2 da island of navarone 2 destroy these wopping guns.Great story and actors make dis 1 of da greatest war flicks ever

BlueDevil 06-18-2001 10:32 AM

Hey prowler, did you know Apocolypse Now is coming back to theatres pretty soon with some new footage added and/or restored? You can check out the trailer at apple.com under quicktime/movie trailers. Also, for those of you who didnt know, there is a new World War II movie coming out called "Windtalkers".
This is a movie based on the Navajo code talkers, staring Nicholas Cage. Check it out at MGM.com

BlueDevil 06-19-2001 03:15 AM

Polaris 06-19-2001 03:28 AM

Gen. Rommel 06-19-2001 11:09 AM

Windtalkers is a love story. I read it in a gaming magazine that was doing an article on MoH: Frontline. And they had a little segment about new WWII movies and it said it was a love story.

Polaris 06-19-2001 11:10 AM

yea , thats where i read it too

Gen. Rommel 06-20-2001 12:50 AM

If you are interested in modern day warfare, check out the movie Bravo Two Zero, its a low budget flick, but its a good portrayal of modern day SAS combat, if you havent heard of Bravo Two Zero then theres something wrong with you http://www.pcgamers.net/ubb/smile.gif Also a good read is Immediate Action, The One that got away and Black Hawk Down. Black Hawk Down is an extremely good read, its about the hostilities at Mogadishu in Somalia back in 1993 when US Rangers and Delta Force had to fight for their lives against an overwhelming pissed of Somalian city, it's very indepth and sucked me right in, I couldnt put it down. Read this book if you havent already. It's awesome. And it's about Rangers, what more could you want.
