By the time spearheads out though the sdk should follow soon after so i would assume someone can convert the mg-42 to a browning for the allies.

I really hope this improves online play and that ea are sensible enough to provide some option for servers that stop every ass having either a bar or an stg. Thats the main reason i don;t like moh online, it never seems like a ww2 setting because 90% of people run about with the current mg's. I hope theyre made less accurat for the addon, that oughta stop some of the shit on the servers and people will have to resort to using rifles for long distance.

Yeah, that's the exact reason I don't play it anymore. There should be some type of thing that limits the number of each weapons on each team like in DoD, maybe so they could set it to 2 MG's, 3 SMG's, 5 Rifles, etc. That would make MP a lot better. I also hope they get a 30 cal in there too, or somebody puts one in.

Thers no 30 cal in the game but for some reason the box has a guy holding one 0_o

hmm the Axis get like 3 new wewapons. Why not have Allies with .30 cal and Axis have the MG34 and MG42... Also what about the Fallschimjager rifle? FG42

Yeah, the FG42.. But I don't beleive it was used very much in the war, I think I read about only 300 saw use in the ETO.

perhaps with the coding there for the mg42 for allies, someone like crowking can replace it with the .30 model for the allies, and keep elements like ammo etc. of course the .30 was always a little jittery for me, probably since it was only used on a jeep, but jumping out of the higgins boat with a german weapon sounds dumb.

Who cares how it sounds, I just hope it plays good.

When I saw "LOADS" I thought there was another rant behind this link.

Anywho, the reason you see so many people running around with the machine gun now is there is no point in using any other weapon since most servers are running some sort "realism" server which makes the machine gun the ONLY weapon worth having. You can pick just about anyone off with it, and it has long range and short range ability. So, why run around with a rifle when you can use the Machine Gun. I mean I'm sure it FEELS good to challenge yourself, but fuck that - I go on a server to fucking win not improve my character.

I use the M1 all the time on realism and I usually end up in the top 3-4. Look at sparks...he uses the unscoped mauser exclusively and is absolutely dominant!

But, I'm not like you, ED...I don't play to "win", per se. I just wanna have some fun and chat with some of the regs.

From what I saw in a spearhead screenshot, the MG-42 is like a fucking chair or something, it's on a huge stand...It's not the type of portable bipod you'd see in Day of Defeat or something

i see an "owned" picture in the works of some newbie trying to use a portable mg-42 and getting shot by 3 or 4 snipers

yeah, i like the idea of having portable machine guns, since they were the base of tactics for the allies and axis, but seriousy, someone who tries to use that is going to get the **** shot out of him before he is even ready to fire. hake:

And for the person wondering the mg-42 tripod is called a laffette mount which it was normally used on in ww2.
