In my generation, 10-20 years old right now, we haven't experianced anything close to this. This is a global disaster, horror, and tragedy. Just days ago, I was thinking that I'm lucky to be in a generation where there is peace, but now, I know just a little, how horrible my parents and grandparents have felt sometimes. I never even could comprehend this terrible feeling. Seeing the plane crash into the second WTC building is burned into my mind forever. This is the most terrible day I've ever felt, we are the leaders of peace in the world, we do all we can to be the peaceful country, we are going to war. Urban Vietnam, we are facing a nameless, faceless enemy, in our homes.

when i was in school today kids were talking about it....i thought it was a stupid rumor made up by some idiot but it ends up to be true...im sorry to anyone that lost family in this horrible act.

I worked in the world trade center in one of those buildings for 8 months for an insurance
company in 1994-95 , a year after the '93 bombing . it was like on the 50-60th floor . after i stopped working there , the company moved uptown to another area . before that i had a temp job for like 2 weeks with a buisness company , forgot name , waaayyy up almost on the top of one of the buildings . i had the duty of using a copy machine the size of my kitchen . it was pretty cool .

im just happy that ya'll are okay, but this is still a very devastating day for the US

ya I stayed, this is the saddest most horific day of my life, we listened on the radio in 8th period and it was terrible, supposedly palestinians were in the streets cheering. Matt gianis cousin worked in the wtc, very sad

Yea Im ok, the plane crashed bout 4 miles from my house. I live in Virginia for college but man I was worried as hell. I certainly hope this doesn't mean a war. That would really suck if there was a war. Everyone would nuke each other and that would be it for civilization. This is a sad day for the US but we will not go away quietly. They'll pay for attacking the US's homeland.

I was totally shocked when I opened my TV yesterday evening. It was a couple minutes after the second plane had hit the WTC tower. I was watching CNBC when those buildings came down and just couldn't believe my eyes...

I just read a piece of news that a vehicle full of explosives had been stopped on the George Washington bridge in NY (that was the big headline) and then in the text it said that however there wasn't any explosives on that vehicle, when they searced it. DOH!!! Why the headline then??

I sure hope that this doesn't escalate into a full war. Time will tell how Bush's government will respond to this dreadfull act of terror. But something tells me that the response won't be just a air strike or two...

I'm fine, I don't even live in the US, but that was sure amazing, not anything I expected to see when I turned on my TV. I tuned in about 3 minutes before the second WTC tower came down. All those poor bastards... I just stood there in total shock for a couple minutes, then I had to sit down. Things aren't looking good, I wonder if this will effect the US's economy?

nothing like this has ever happenend to american, i really dont know how it will affect our economy, when i was told what had happened i was in my 5th period class in school when my teacher announced that we were at a ''code yellow'' where there has either been a bombing or anything like that in the U.S., My entire class was just like Hans said shocked, then everyone got loud about how they had family here and there and people started to scared and worried, next thing i know the schools P.A system comes on with it saying so and so childrens parents are here to pick them up, and i was one of em so now im home, think Hells-Angel stayed there though.

I'm from Scotland and we see quite a bit of terrorist action taking place in N.Ireland (not forgetting the Lockerbie bombing in Scotland itself). You never really think it can happen in your country until it actually happens.

So, what I really want to say is;

No one's taking my family from me in the name of some f***in religion or territory dispute, ALL civilised countries will have to stand up and take positive and strong action against these NUTTERS....

Another interesting piece of news from Finland. The officials in the US say that they had no idea of an attack or anything like that. However here in Finland one of our news reporter said that the US embassy here in Helsinki had received a word last Friday to tighten their security actions, because of a threat of terrorist attack. This seems a little strange.

Another thing, one of the passengers onboard one of the hijacked planes had called home and said that the plane was being hijacked. Hijackers were armed with knives and cardboard cutters. How in the hell can you hijack a plane while armed with nothing more than a knife.
