Just seen this in a gamespot video. It seems secondary fire on the garand is now for swinging the stock the of weapons round to hit enemies in the face with. evil:

Sweetness. Campers beware! evil:

Sweet we will now beable to pummel our enemies with more than the pistol!

Probably, since eala made frontline and basically every weapon in that had a "hit command" you could probably club someone with the mauser id say.

remember that AI characters could already do this in Allied Assault.

First person, he sorta swings it round to about shoulder height. biggrin: Actually takes out a german with it too :)

Well eala are the guys that made frontline and made spearhead so theyve basically added elements from frontline into spearhead. Team based combat is one of the more obvious things that has made the transition from frontline.

That video is sweet I hope you can do it with all weapons and each has a certain range. Cause the reason the "Tommy" wasn't big in WWI was since the butt was to short to really be used in Hand to Hand Combat but it would be nice to use it only a really close range while the rifle is a bit longer... biggrin:

Yup Spearhead is gonna be what I've been waiting for....to bad about the prone thing. I mean, it is the most important and most widely asked for aspect...but OH NO. We don't even get it 9 months after all that straight complaining.

I'm glad that they finally decided to implement a feature that SHOULD HAVE BEEN IN THE ORIGINAL GAME!!!!!!!! What's next?! THE KNIFE?!! WOOHOOOHOOOOOO!!!!!!!

i'd like to see someone take the shovel that's always on the model and start smashing someone's face in, the "clink" sounds would be priceless, although rather useless. i think knives would be great tho, a lot more fun than pistol whip, but then you would have people whining "omfg why can't i throw the knife?"

I think that EALA should have stayed as far away from this game as possible, or even better; they should have given it to Raven or Fox Interactive.:)
