Anyone know anything about them?

I'm in the market for a big screen. I would love a widescreeen HDTV, but thats getting a bit expensive. So scratch the HDTV.

With Widescreen, my dad said that while watching regular TV, the picture seems kind of squished. Is this true? He said he was at a store today and there was a regular TV beside a widescreen and the people on the widescreen looked short and fat. Anyone experienced this? Widescreen is probably made prety much for DVD, right?

I'm lookin in the price range of about $2500CDN.

Its the Sony Kp53v90. Any opinions on this one? Do any of you know a good TV for that price? Must be bigscreen.

Yeah me too but their not big enough and cost too much money.

A friend of mine bought a Panasonic widescreen 52 inch about a year ago, and I was amazed. It cost about 6 grand. We were watching a WWE Pay Per View, and he kept pausing the picture, rewinding it, and he could play it again, but from different angles. It was weird as hell, freaked me out. It was like he had his own personal video camera!

I just bought a Sony 34XBR800 the picture on the thing is just ...no words... biggrin:

It's only a 34 inches,but it's good enough for me plus it's widescreen.
I paid 2.100,00 delivered and tax together also I bought a Progressive scan DVD a new Receiver and a TV stand.

Remember if you buy a rear projection Tv,you will need to get that calibrated 100 hours after you buy the TV,that could be around 500,00,then a yearly cleaning for at least 150,00.

i have a 40 inch mitsubishi tube tv. and i say the picture is better than a projection. but they cost some cash. mine was 4,000 in 96 plasma the way to go now i heard.
