 SH has issues with ATI???

I'm just curious, of all the people that complained that they have been suffering from low/bad framerates, or are just having a crappy graphics expirence in the Spearhead demo, can you please post here what video card you have EXACTLY (Example: VisionTek Xtasy GF4 Ti4600, 128MB RAM). I think that people who are complaining might be using ATI-based cards.

Don't think it's an "ATI" thing. My frame rates sit right around 55 or 60. I would say the actual range is about 40 to 80 FPS. Heres my rig:
Athlon XP 1900 (1.6Ghz) 512MB DDR Ram ATI Radeon 64 DDR VIVO (that's getting a bit old even!) On a good server, it playes just fine. I didn't have to update any drivers to be able to play spearhead. |

Eh, my friends could just be dumb then, they might of just put all their settings to full.

i'm running a 9700 and i do get kind of crappy fps. i'm averaging about a 70 when i should be cracking 110.....my friends have had trouble too. its probably just psychological.

LOL... good to see this is turning into a very informative post.
Anyway, I got to play some more TOW tonight and actually spent a lot of time in the 90's. My uber leet (almost 2 years old) 64DDR seems to be doing pretty good. I'm in XP and my system is very "clean", so to speak. I really don't think it's an ATi problem. BTW I play 800x600 ( not that I have to, just like that size) and texture detail is set to "medium". Everything else is on to the max. |

I've had ATI as far as I can remember.. till I got sick and tired of their bullshit incompatibilities with a lot of stuff...although their drivers lately have been great....still wouldn't go back to ATI xcept for their All-in-Wonder products...so I changed to Nvidia and I never looked back since.. Can't wait for the NV30. I'm on a G4 4400 and it is great...never had any problems with any games whatsoever..EVER.
