About the mohaa Speed! ur oppinion!

heey peeps!

I dont understand why people bitching about teh fast speed in mohaa!?
for Gods sake! thate what mohaa needed maan! i loove that game very much! and it really lacks for speed. and some people really bitch about that the speed is like QUAKE!! WTF!! please play Quake for 1 hour. and then come back to mohaa! if u cant se the big differemce, then i suggest u guys start playing dolls instead!

And I'm not talking about the sprint speed! (which a great idea too )
I' talking about the default speed which is Slightly fastere then mohaa!

And people please! start to get use to teh new Sh speed! coz in a week tha patch will be out! and eventually ever mohaa admins and gamer will adapt to the new gameplay! and slowly starts to convert their relegion from Mohaa to moh: SH.

Spearhead will be the future, no doubt!

thats my oppinion! whats yours!??

Peace!

I like the fast speed. It is the one thing AA was missing. Too bad it doesnt seem to be catching on.

Fontaine 11-18-2002 07:23 AM

Personal perference

When I'm in the mood to be arcade-like MG whore, then fast speed is fun. But I also like to use a rifle, and trying to hit anything bouncing around like a ferret on acid is nearly impossible -- unless you are one of the lucky ones who has an absurdly low ping.

So what I'm saying it's all in the "mood," sometimes yes -- sometimes no, I just wish you could tell from the server list which is which, instead of having to filter one out versus the other. Hint to server admins, say up front what your using.

greensha 11-18-2002 08:57 AM

The sprint option is a great idea and I would eventually adjust to the faster speeds but my only complaint is the speed at which u can move while crouching is just a tad to fast for my liking. Just takes getting used to the speed settings.

mewprin 11-18-2002 01:19 PM

I think it ruined everything MOHAA established.
Sorry.

11-18-2002 01:21 PM

ah yes just what i always wanted, crouch-sliding dickheads that also move around at warp speed. thats just what mohaa was missing.

GhostRider2AD 11-18-2002 02:44 PM

Strikor, I agree with you. The slide issue is bad to say the least. As usual, the programmers never tested the software before they released it or it wouldn' t ave so many problems in SP and MP. Just another example of bad company policy. Of course alot of people love the speed and the slide, and we all know why. fire2:

the fast speed sucks!!!
if they wanted to make it easier to tarverse big maps they should have put in a sprint option where your rifle gets slung, then you bring it back up when you return to normal speed.

Mr_nStuff 11-18-2002 03:31 PM

Anyone that wants a fast paced game should goto Unreal or Quake3.. Medal of Honor is suppose to be a more life like speed. Just like ArmyOps, and like other life like games soon to come..

So if you want fast speed FPS play. I suggest you find another game..

Blev 11-18-2002 05:00 PM

I dont mind the speed, but when you're trying to shoot someone and there dancing back and forth faster than your bullets, like it sometimeds seems, then I think the speed is too fast.

--foo--fighter-- 11-18-2002 11:04 PM

I dont like the fast speed ; its to unrealistic . And yes it is hard to shoot some one with the rifle when they are moving at warp speed . Hopefully Crow King will make a new realism mod for spearhead soon

Brutal CarNage 11-18-2002 11:54 PM

Ravenshield Kicks butt

Ravenshield has more of a realistic speed to me.

For some reason when I jump on a rock and then leap over someones head, like in SH, it just loses its feel that MOHAA had.

Low spark 11-19-2002 12:03 AM

Fast speed is like have a track meet with guns.

Quasi-evil 11-19-2002 04:37 AM

I hate the fast speed as well. But I think you will find that a lot of people that use the rifle hate it. Its just much harder to hit those targets at the new speed. Its going to take a while to get use to the amount of time you have to lead somone when you fire. I really look forward to see the patch that will slow down the speed.

-=OSP=-Barking_Mad 11-19-2002 05:00 AM

Fast speed is awfull, completley spoils the game and the animation is ruined (posibly because of this?).

Even the low speed setting is higher than mohaa, being an expansion i would expect it to be the same as mohaa by default. The sprint option seems ok but why not have it kick in only when ur weapon is holstered, thats what most peeps do when they want to run a long distance anyway.

{-BaH-} The High Kid 11-19-2002 05:14 AM

I hate fast run speed. Curse EA for even putting it in the game. And yes, Crow is working on a new realism mod that will blow your socks off.

11-19-2002 06:56 AM

Want my opinion? IT SUCKS! I've always thought the run speed for AA was great for a fps.

Well pest , we like mohAA because it's not like quake . Spearhead is like quake now. If you read review of game in gamespot.com and other site . You will see that reviewer all say same . Fast SPEED is NOT WELCOME IN MOH. Sorry , it's not him , but you to find an other game . If you like fast speed go in quake-like.

Btw , i am almost sure and well see if i am right. I think EA will remove fast speed in the next patch !
(i said i think)

I hope you understand . It's supposed to be a expansion, not a new game.

It's like the change quake speed for medal of honor speed in expansion...

pest 11-19-2002 10:13 AM

First - SH is nowhere near as fast a Q3. Not even close. I have Q3 and I do still play it every so oftem.

Second - I am playing SH AS IT WAS DELIVERED!!! I have a game to play. I am not the one complaining. I dont need a new game, and who is that cat to tell me what I need to play. I like the fast, it cuts down on campers and snipers. It does make the rifle harder to shoot, but that is about an even tradeoff for the better firefights on huge maps.

Matrf 11-19-2002 10:15 AM

umm , please read reviewer of very popular site like http://www.gamespot.com.

A lot think the same as me.

pest 11-19-2002 10:42 AM

I understand many people dont like the fast, and I really dont care, I can play it either way. All I'm saying is that I think it is funny that I am being told to find a new game because I like the way it is set up now.

KTOG 11-19-2002 11:11 AM

As long as i'm not on a server without it, i'm happy.

ReCoil || Factor 11-19-2002 12:30 PM

Speed

Yes I agree with the majority here.. the speed has ruined the online play. Rifles become too difficult to use effectively and like some one else said "crouch-sliding dickheads that also move around at warp speed" mad: so lets get real here.. and put some realism back into the game... chow..

Some people are comparing the new speed mod to the speed of Q3 and RTCW. Now, yes, the speed IS a big difference over MOHAA, but I don't see it as being as suped up as RTCW is. I personally like the speed increase, it makes the game more exciting.
