Complaints about Spearhead!
 

Hello!Well first of all,iam a Hardcore Mohaa player!When Spearhead came out,it was a fricking different game!What the hell happened to the leaning while you run,that gave the game a sorta taste and skills to work on,different from other games.For the people that hate leaners out there reading this,saying leanings not realistic!Well why is it,i can be shot 15 times with a smg,but only once with a shottie and dead,completely unfair!This is not a realistic game!Play Ghost recon and see how fare you get fighting 5 guys and winning!You fricking run so fast in spearhead,and when you shoot some one it looks like they are fricking sliding,(HOW GAY).Also,what the hell is with this,allied British!what the hell,if anyone is gonna be called allied its the Americans,every damn guy on theres called allied and then there name,except the americans in the game!They were only in the war for about 2 years!Wheres the Canadains!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Also what the hell is with the fricking american guns under the british and russian weapons!!!!!The had the own guns!This game is totally stupid,allied assault is way better.Spearhead woulda been way better if it was just the same as mohaa,just with new maps and weapons,and the leaning and running at same time were still on.Plus with all those rocket fags out there!In War they dont use a rocket to take out 1 man,they uses them for tanks,how fricking ay.They shouldnt be in muti,unless its battlefield1942!I already paid for mohaa and i get single player maps!!!!!!!!Then i get 3 alliedassault.com maps from people,and then a few new ones!!!!!!Frickin stupid!Tell me what you think on this!

To answer one thing this lunatic said the Russians and British did use BARs. They were shipped in mass quantities during the war. I would also remind this moron where the Allied powers i.e Russia, Canada, France, and England bought their weapons before the US entered the war. That's right if yo guessed America you'd be correct. Everyone admits that the Lend-Lease Act and the Cash and Carry policy of the US kept England in the war and armed. Also if you hate Spearhead so much put it down. Don't play it. EA already got what they wanted out of you. Bitching to us on these forums isn't gonna change that you hate the game. Also nothing you said was new and original. teh Uk used the Bren MG

the British used Thompsons though early on, until they got dometic SMG production up.

Both the British and Soviets did use American made tanks and planes (USSr to a lesser degree but still had quite a few units. (the elite 100th Guards fighter regiment used P-39s, etc)

Im gettin tired of ppl bitchin about the ppl bitchin about spearhead... They are more annoying than the people bitchin about spearhead lmao geez. People are jus expressin opinons on what they think. Dont criticize them for speaking their mind.

This is just my opinion. I've been reading these posts for the passed few days and have kept my fingers from typing on every single thread, so here goes...

1.) The "crawling" effect everyone talks about -- Personally, I think it is a good concept. However, it lacks what makes it look realistic, in the fact that the player can move while falling backwards after taking a hit. If it can be patched so that you can't move while falling back, it would make it 10x better. I haven't really had any run-ins with the whole "he shot me while crawling" thing.

2.) Leaning while strafing -- I wasn't a big fan of it at first. Once I started doing it though, it helped my accuracy. I miss it, but I can live without it. I've already become accustomed to not leaning in SH.

Why do we have so many topics about "How I Hate SpearHead" anyways? If you hate it, keep it to yourself. I think it's a decent game. I mean, c'mon, it's an expansion, not a whole new game.

Move on with life and enjoy it.

I think EA have done a great job, I love the fact that the script kiddie "lean strafers" are suffering :)

MY only disapointment is that you can still use the scope whilst strafing :(

Now lets just hope they release a decent patch (with pure switch working) and some decent serverside documentaion.

The British did use American weapons as well. I know for a fact that some of the commando and raider forces used Tommyguns (Mark I and II), M1 Garand rifles and M1 Carbines, BARs, Colt 45's, Smith & Wesson revolvers (and probably more I don't know of).

And some American OSS units were in fact issued Stens and Brens. I was kinda hoping to see a Bren in Spearhead (though I doubt it would be any better than the BAR) but ... oh well.

I can't comment on the Russians, though.

know what I do love about Spearhead? I love that 7 shot Russian Revolver. that thing is just phat... I was halfway hoping to see some Japanese weapons...Hell maybe they can do a whole MoH Pac-Rim style.. As far as I know every MoH title to date has been European based...Might be time to expand.

Ok I understand that leaning and staffing is unrealistic in a MOH genere, but if someone was firing a smg or rifle at your ass you would lean, duck, strafe, jump and crouch all at the same time, so you wouldn't get killed.

The Lean and strafe bind has been around for a while. I have been doing it since the first 'unreal' and it was never a problem then. Why is this still an issue...cause its cheating? No "wall hacks" are cheating this a game enhacement as I see it. Even the poll on this forum is not totally againts it. I say to each his own.

Sorry guys,i didnt pay for Mohaa again,All they really gave is a couple of single player mohaa maps,and maps i could of played from alliedassault.com.Which i was already playing for about a year.For anyone that does not like my feelings on spearhead,they can vs me on mohaa at gamespy,just tell me ya wanna vs and will work it out!Ill OWN you all!My clan has beatin,eCm,Koas,they all SUCK!Please vs me so you can be owned too! fire2:

If you want to still use the lean/strafe technique (why would you though?) there are servers that have the correct setting for it. Try Shear Mayhem! Last time I went there they had lean/strafe enabled. Its funky in Spearhead though.

I agree with most others who have posted that this is a tired issue, but everyone does have the right to express their opinion. Too bad no one sifts through the older posts (on the 2nd page) to see that the same thread has already been created.

As for Spearhead, I am getting addicted to this stupid little expansion. Especially the Tug-of-war maps (Berlin is my fave). There are bugs that need to be fixed (specifically that crazy butt-scooting crap that many people are taking advantage of). Hopefully EA will have a patch out soon that will fix it. But, they never did fix that respawn bug in MOH:AA did they? eek:

I bought the origional game.....loved it !!! listened to the complaints....Tolarated it......uploaded some maps ....played them ,some good, some..well ya-know... expected it !!! got the expansion pack....bought it....played it....enjoyed it....and still want more ......expecting it !!!!! cool:

In my opinion EA Games gave everyone the shaft with SH.
Yes it has some new maps and a few nice new functions.
BUT
$30 is to much to pay for new maps.
Especially when 3 of the 5 new maps are not new.
1) Stadt is just small city with a few changes. It also has a crappy spawn area in the back of the church. You can spawn there right by the enemy.
2) Verschnelt is just a slightly remade single player map from MOHAA.
It was already turned into a multiplayer map for MOHAA a long time ago.
3) Gewitter is the map from the thunder series. I've played it more than any other new MOHAA map. I just paid $30 fro something I was playing 6 months ago :angry:

Oh ya... everyone just loves the stupid backslide people do when they are shot. :angry:
Lots of SH servers will not show up as a SH server. They show up as MOHAA servers. This is a big ass bug people who run servers are paying the price for. :angry:

EA Games for 2 months prior to SH coming out said the sv_pure switch would be working to block all the current cheats. Guess what, it doesn't work. Now they say they will try and fix it in the 1st patch. :angry:

And on top of everything else. EA Games wants to force people to use the GaySpy piece of sh*t browser and not ASE. :angry: :angry: :angry:

I have no issue with it. It makes me laugh when I kill someone trying to dodge the bullets. If it was in MOHAA, it should be in SH.
