Shotguns For Those Who Do Not Understand There Use
 

This post is for t hose who have nevered actually used a shotgun in real life as a member of a real life military unit, police force, or prision reactionary team.

Why is the shotgun in Mohaa? Simple: it is a powerful close quarters combat weapon with a enough force to stop even the biggest light skined targets (humans).

It was not intended to be a medium or long range weapon. It is was meant to deal massive damage at short range. If used properly in real life or in Mohaa it is a great weapon for close quarters combat.

Used correctly, especially with fragmention or concussion grenades, a shotgun wielder can easliy clear a small room or bunker of emenies.

So what the hell do I know? I have had the honor with serving with greatest army in the world in combat: US Army. My unit succesfully used shotguns within their squads for clearing bunkers in a land far from home over 10 years ago.

welll not very much anyway (maybe 1 or 2 guys per battalion, NOT 25-75% OF THE UNIT)

The shotgun was used in spearhead to clear out the hotel and church

and we all know how historically accurate spearhead is

good point, I wouldn't mind the shotgun so much if the other weapons were realistic (seriously there isn't a man alive who can take 3 .45 calber rounds to the chest then dance around you and shoot a shotgun)

The Shotgun is the uber n00b weapon! Like in my previous topic, it takes no talent or skill to use it whatsoever. I wouldn't be to mad, but they devolped the weapon saying it was 'short range' when in fact, if you get one on your tail from across the map chances are that 2 blast will take you down. So to all those who use the shotty STFU!

I personally have no problem owning with shotguns. And whenever I decide to use another weapon...I never have problems with other people using shotguns..

Ok, once again STFU! I can kill shotty's easily, it's the across maps 1 shot that suck. Obvioulsy, you either play in realism or you your self are n00b enough to use a shotty.

P.S. Sound mods aren't gay, maybe your fuckin stupid enough to not make a sound mod...jackass.

Some sound MODs are considered cheats.. Like making sounds louder or more distinct can give you an advantage when someone is pulling out a rocket launcher.. Or cooking a grenade.

And sound MODs that change the voice commands/taunts/ect.. They are ghey.. The main reason I say so. Is the fact that they make using voice futile since the receiver probably is hearing something totally different than you are.

So sound MODs are ghey nStuff..

Other than that.. I do firmly believe that people still crying about weapons are either noobz or seriously depressed for teen teenagers.

Let me put it another way for you..

Anything that gives you a distinct advantage over other players is considered cheating. You can modify sounds all you want.. But once you cross that line it's a cheat..

Like if you yourself always had a problem hearing people equip or toss grenades. So you decided to replace the wav file for it with something alittle louder. Like a bell or an alarm sound. That's cheating. Because now you hear the grenades better than anyone else on the server.

Here's a similar explanation.

Are you saying then that if I have my speakers turned up loud that I have a greater advantage over everyone on the server and am therefore cheating? What about if I have a better video card and can see things more clearly, does that make me a cheater as well?

I have to disagree with that statement AB, when you think about it, a noob will most likely use the rocket......Besides that, I like the shotty. Think about it, whos gonna get more kills? A shotty user has to move like a sniper in a sense. We have to be quiet while we hunt for our prey. In close combat what are you gonna use? Most likely a shotty. Why? Would you want to waste a whole clip of ammo with a clown fag jumpping in a circle playing hit me if you can? Answer........NO. Waste the Bastard right!?!? Like all other gun users, in the open anyone on a given day is a human target! In conclusion, weapon wise, TO EACH IT'S OWN.

Hardware is your problem.. Modifying software for an advantage is cheating.

You can try to justify your reasons for modifying sounds, textures, and the like. But when it gives you a distinct advantage. Your a cheater through and through.

Twisting it around with talk of better or worse hardware.. That's as silly as justifying the use of a wall-hack because all the wall textures slow down your computer to much..

i have the advantage of not having my eardrums blown out every time someone uses a stg. you should try it sometime.

Man your thickheaded! My mod is up for grabs, DL and you too can have a "advantage". Some people have better graphics cards, or proccessers so your saying they're cheating? Ok buddy.... Also people use diffrent types of Crosshairs and such...and they're cheating.

It's ok StrikOr.. Your lower sound mod thingy is ok.. If it gives you less of an advantage. It's no harm to anyone else.

There are some INSANE players out there when it comes to shotguns. It takes alot of skill to become an elite shotgunner. Dont believe me? Yep i agree with that,im not fantastic with shotgun but pretty good and im constantly being called "shitgun noob" "shottie whore" i now take this as a compliment cos im obviously getting right up their nose ,the real joy of it is then i change to smg and kill em again cos im more proficient with that.
At that point the whinger either shuts up or leaves,both of which has the desired effect.
And 1 last thing,all these people that come out and say "i can easily kill shotgun noobs" my answer is WHY are you moaning about them then!

yeah when your weapon takes one hit to kill at 20 degree deflection while theirs takes 4 shots at 0 degree deflection (right on target) you are sooooo much more skilled then them.

As with all post on Allied Assault Forums, this one has run off course. I see the "kiddies" with no life have ruined yet another informative post with their replies pertaining to nothing usefull or helpful.

It would also seem the "kiddies" wait in the wings like "lounge lizards" to reply to any post with there insane large signatures, and sweared filled mouths.

Maybe all you "kiddies" have been banned from every Mohaa or Spearhead server out there and this is the only place you have not been banned from.

So instead of wasting your time here "kiddies" why not grab your rifle, shotgun, or machine gun and come on over to the |RR| Server (unless you are already banned) at IP: 66.151.182.53 and but your weapon were your mouth is.
