Yay got xbox live workin
 

Bought unreal championship and it came with the xbox live dashboard software on the disc. Just signed in and started playing online. Seems pretty good so far and havn't noticed any real lag. The frame rate DOES tend to chug occasionally though =/

Has all new weapons models as well, problem is if you've played unreal 2k3 on the pc you will be a bit lost with all the new weapons models, i assumed the assualt rifle was a plasma cannon and got my ass handed to me when it started firing bullets instead of plasma. =/

So, what's this Xbox live? Does it differ from the ordinary Xbox? eek:

Only supports broadband for xb live. Not sure how much of the bandwidth it actually uses though.

its cool cause you can talk to ppl but its frusterating cause if you swear, ppl can report you and they will take it away. some of the guys on there are losers, they think there cool but there not

i read that it is worlds better than ps2s MP online. My friend has it its cool. I hope i get it for christmas

Can you use your broadband access that you have for your computer for the X-box?

Correct me if i'm wrong, but the "X-Box Live" is a new series of the X-Box? Just an ordinary X-Box with a internet adapter??

If so, I might buy one myself.

Have to have an XBOX to use Xbox live. It hooks up to it.

I thought you could play online with gamespy anyway. Just download that Xbox tunnel program or something. Why pay 10bucks a month to play if that is the case?

How's the voice chat?

I was looking at either the Sony PS2 or Xbox. Both of my Xboxes are modded so, I might have to go with PS2

Havn't received my headset yet but from what ive read its pretty good. Unreal championship is a bit cack online to be honest. Almost everyone uses autoaim which basically means if they get their crosshair anywher near you and fire they will hit you.

Might trade it in for mech assault, looks to be a better online game. happy:

Mech assault is a more arcade orientated game, looks nice though and got a good review

I was under the impression you could turn off the Modchip and use Xbox Live ?? The Modchip I will be getting has that feature, just takes a bit to hook it up.

I have been told they can still detect it even with a switch to turn it on/off.

could be mistaken as I have not kept up with things latly ( very busy in work) :(

I think that's the coolest part about the PS2 Broadband and the XBox Live; you can use your current ethernet connection to play online, no extra connection needed, you know?
