How can you possibly say that the shotgun is for pussies? If anything, the sniper is for pussies, cause you can just find a spot to camp and be a sniper-pussy spawn killer. A real man moves around in a map and doesn't play hide and seek. Grab a shotgun and expose yourself to enemy fire--and take them down!
Or-- hide like a coward with a sniper rifle and pick off players as they spawn.
The choice is yours.
Better yet-- grab the bolt-action rifle (no scope!) and see how you fare.
Too many players these days are padding their kills with spawn-kiling and think they're good.

And stop the damn no-rocket mods! It floors me that nobody wants rockets in their server, but will allow all the pussies to grab their snipers! It's so easy to pick off a rocket user because of the reload time, I don't know why a lot of servers don't let them in. It's use at your own risk-- yet everyone hates them.
I'll take a strategic firefight over a spawn killing anyday. Real men use shotguns!

Actually, I would think that spawn killing would be the strategic move. Running the alleys and building with a shotty might be considered tactical.

FYI, I am very skilled with the sniper and 99% kill with 1 shot. That's not the reason I don't like it. And I don't take your flaming personally. Everyone has their own opinions.
But where's the "strategy" of spawn killing in a Free For All environment? That's like taking candy from a baby and nothing to take pride in. As hard as I try, I find no strategy there. Team? Objective? Snipe all you want. That's just one man's opinion. And as far as WWII authenticity goes, since you brought it up, how authentic is the FFA environment anyway? You've got Axis killing Axis, Allied killing Allied......... Now I don't remember those battles in WWII.
Everyone has their own style and more power to them, it doesn't mean everyone else has to like it.
Lastly, isn't a server putting in a weapon mod what HE likes? No problem there, though, huh?

specificly kar98, the semi autos suck, and actually the kar (if u time the time between shots) is faster than the german semi auto sniper, huh? much more powerful too, i love rifle only servers, but they just rnt good enough on servers withother guns, 4 me atleast, i also have the bad habbit of picking up an smg 4 melee combat, and after finishing the melee battle using it to snipe

1. machine guns are also up there with the shoties. all those people are mg fags, are also mg and smg butt sprayers..... play on a server with realism, and they spray you, you die.....

2. Shotguns suck. 100,000,000,000,000,000,000 people can back me up that they are the worst weapons. of course you would have to move around alot, because its a shotgun! not a sniper rifle, but when you got a weapon so powerful that you could take on 5 people at once, I can classify that as ''cheap'' I think that the shotgun should be for the noobs.......

3. I dont have that much of a problem with the snipers, just the fact that some people could go to the same spot every round and just pick people off. I mean, is that fun? Get a god d amn life already!!! sheash!

5. the most intense weapon to walk the earth...... the rifle!!!!!! this weapon is powerful, but takes lots of skill. I know that I have virtually masterd the rifle, but still, I have been playing for a while with that thing. Thats mah bitch!!!! Soon, I woud be able to take on 3 shotgun whores at once, even shoot people across levels, definetly the best choice as far as normal weapons are conserned......... Why the HELL do you just diss every weapon you hate? I mean, jesus, just because youcant contend with the shotties, and the machine guns doesn't mean they are 'fags' weapons... The BAR is by far the best - call it whatever you will - the power, the distance, the mag - it's just the most effective one to use.

Just my view - the guys who are really skilled with sniper rifle deserve some respect.

Yeah, the BAR is good. I prefer the sniper rifle though. But when i have to change positions (from one sniper position to another) i use the BAR.

I must agree that spawn sniping is a pathetic, cowardly act! People who do that know that they arent good enough to go head to head. Sniping, though, seems to take skill. A lot of them can pick off a moving target. Pretty good, I'd say. All you have to do is find them, then you can kill them. Sometimes difficult, but a great challenge. Rockets, though, take very little skill. You only have to come close to take someone out. With rifles and smgs you actually have to hit your target. Yes, come out and fight like a man, and that means going head to head on equal terms. I do not believe Rockets are equal. I think they are an unfair advantage.

aaaaaaaah crunch...don´t say that! Just tell m what you want fire2: It is YOUR opinion....and nobody has to say something about that. Some others might have another opinion about shottys or rockets (i think a guy using rockets needs some target practice...) but don´t mind about them.
