Splinter Cell is a game that is on Xbox, but will be coming out for PC soon and is like MGS 2, but not even close to as good.

well i dont really like the way sam fisher looks, but he's got alot of cool moves, the most famous one being the split jump and the human shield move. plus the lighting in that game is realy good, i mean u can hide in the shadows and a guy could just pass by like doom3, that's how realsiitc it is.

Pyro, wake up. Even Hideo Kojimo was looking forward to Splinter Cell because he knows it is a better game. MGS2 was good, but not as great as you make it out to be. Over the top story line, over dramatic and WAY to many cutscenes. Splinter Cell is to the point. doesnt fuck around with bullshit cutscenes, and Sam Fisher would tear Solid Snake a new asshole.

Fact is, PS2 is NOT capable of the graphics in Splinter Cell, couldnt even come close. The tagline "Tactical Espionage Action" hooked onto the MGS franchise is a load of bollocks. Splinter Cell is true "Tactical Espionage Action" and it's setting is real world. The realism and focus on stealth is why it's called a Stealth game. Perhaps you dont like it because you simply cant play it like its meant to be played.....if you've even played it that is.

oh yeah, ur experienceing unreal engine problems or something like that, same thing happened to soem guys with raven shield demo. i think u need to like adjust soem settings, maybe switch off anti-aliasing.

I know I couldnt run Unreal Tournament 2003 when I uninstalled a program called "OpenAL 1.0 Reference". Same kinda error popped up. If it's not that, I'll be damned if I know. oOo:

I turned my resolution down to 800X600 amd the game worked. Why, I have no idea. Anyway, there is no way to brighten it up in the options or anything so I can't see anything which totally sucks. I was running ingame at 640X480 and it was pretty choppy on my GF2MX400. Anyway, maybe i'll give it a better try tomorrow, but I doubt it'll run on your 800mhz if it doesn't run on my 1400mhz. Unless you have a shit load of ram and a GF3 at least.

same thing happened to me with BF1942 i could only play on 800x600

Well I could play BF on 1024X768 if I wanted to lag really bad. Hell, I even lagged on 800X600 in BF.

What type of connection you got ninty9?

Just played it, works fine and looks beautiful at 1024x768, will try higher res later on. Awesome game and controls perfectly with the mouse. Definately looking forward to this for the PC.
