yep im gonna have to go with Jackson from SPR because I love the whole sniping bit.

I would say, Tom Hanks just because he played such an awesome role, and it did it perfectly. Could not have been any better. Tom made SPR so much sweeter with his excellent acting.

hehe, that Drill Sergeant is psycho, he has some awesome lines !! "what is your major malfunction numb nut !!" hehe. Ummm my favourite character would have to be Pvt Jackson from SPR, I mean he has some awesome lines, I like the stuff he recites everytime he fires his rifle, and he's a Sniper ! Upem, or however the hell you spell his name, was a chicken shit, everytime Mellish gets that knife in his heart from that bastard nazi I always get sooooo pissed off.
But at the end where Upem shoots that nazi SOB I guess he kinda gets his recompense. In my eyes he's sorta forgiven, he's not innocent anymore, he's not the "fancy little f..." that he was at the start. hehe

I like the part when they're preparing to take the MG nest and Sgt. Horvath says to Capt. Miller:

yes Sgt. Horvath is my favorite from SPR, also i think just about all the characters in platoon did a pretty good job.

I also liked Medic Wade from SPR, and, I know I'll probably get shit hung on me, but I really liked Pvt. Witt from "The Tin Red Line", also Pvt. Doll from the same movie, he like go's crazy and charges at the Jap MG nest, firing his M1, runs out of ammo, throws a grenade, then pulls out his Colt .45 and start shooting them up...That was real adrenaline pumping, Also "Rollo" from "Stalingrad", (quote)

my only problem so far with games is this:

they have been totally unable to recreate a realistic sniper+intended target scene....
i mean u have Counterstrke... nuff said
and all the others
but the closest the came to it, would be..........!

Swat 1.. the original Swat game.. came on 4 cd's.
most of the game by istelf sucked... but the final mission, if u made it through sniper qual! man its good... u actually have to sit and wait a good... 15 minutes i think before u get the shot... plus it uses windage and great sight adjustment! just like it should be!

and im sure most of you out there agree that it is a most awesome scene.

Actually Upham killed the German who shot Cpt. Miller (steamboat willy) the one they took prisoner at the MG42 nest which is a different soldier than the one who killed Mellish. (the one who killed Mellish had SS lapels instead of standard Wehrmacht lapels like Steamboat Willy had on) Look close next time you watch and you'll see what i mean. Upham shoulda got his shit together and got that SS squad when they were going up the stairs and not looking at him then he woulda got rid of them and got the 30. cal ammo to henderson and mellish but that wouldn't be the same movie then would it http://www.pcgamers.net/ubb/smile.gif
