Ah, yeah I got the 300. The 500 looks nice though, it's got the ergonamic shape too, like my old Cordless Optical. Sigh. . .I miss that mouse. cry:

No , i have try that with pageup, page donw , f1 to f10 , enter , shift , control , everything i can in fact and its not working.

This was working for my old mouse , but not for this one . I think the software is just not compatible with games.

I have a 5 button mouse but inorder for the #4 and #5 button to work, i have to "enable mouse properties" everytime i log on. All i have to do is open "microsoft mouse" in startmenu and click "ok" to enable mouse properties. Perhaps you need to do the same.

I posted something on this a few weeks ago with no success. I just emailed Logitech support and explained the problems we are having and I'll see if this helps. I doubt it. They need to update the software so you can assign the side buttons to a specific keystroke like the Microsoft does. Like I said in an earlier post this is the best optical mouse made. Nothing comes close. It will even work on glass. I almost kept my Microsoft Intellimouse and rotated them but it was a pain due to the fact both software programs werent compatible with each other. So I sent back the Logitech.

Ok guys , i have maybe find a fix . I have search a lot on a couple of board and i a guy told me in a french one that if you install the INTELLIMOUSE MICROSOFT SOFTWARE with the logitech , it will work . He said its what he did.

I am not sure if this can work , i will try that later ...

Also he told me Logitech are suposed to realease a patch soon.

ozzy1965 01-08-2003 07:06 PM

Which Microsoft software would you use? It asks you for what mouse you have. Obviously you cant say Logitech.

This actually makes sence. At work to get the compaq mice made by logitech to work (They have scrolls) we use the Microsoft drivers.

Ive got the logitech mx700 and also have the problem of not being able to program the buttons.
Mouseware sucs, has allways sucked, and probably allways will suc!
My solution was to not use mouseware, don't worry bout the extra buttons, and bought a Nostromo n50 pad.
Use my mouse for the normal setup shit and the n50 for the left hand.
Allmost never touch my KB now while playing.

I've been thinking about this. Does it work well for MOH & BF1942?

Isabella 01-13-2003 04:43 PM

Yes it works for moh and any game you need the keyboard for. You just map the keys to it. I use the same setup for all my 1st person games. I also set it up so it loads on bootup! Its sweet, try it!

I found another problem with the Logitech software.. This is the one that actually made me take it back..

I use the middle button for jumping. Always have since the Logitech Gaming Mouse days..

Now watch.. Press that middle button in.. The scroll-wheel.. press it in.. See how neato that is? Now you can move the mouse around internet explorer and it scrolls the page..

Well in MOHAA.. Instead of jumping when I pressed that button.. Yup.. You guessed it.. It try'ed to do autoscroll in the game.. Very lame..

I did extensive research with this mouse. And I could never find a solution to all it's software problems.. Logitech basically screwed up there mice with this lowsy program.

Isabella 01-13-2003 06:01 PM

I just use the mouse without mouseware installed. Works normally in moh and still does the scroll trick yer talkin bout in explorer! To hell with the xtra butts, get an N50 to do the dirty work.
