NO BASH MOD
 

im looking for a mod that will take the bash out of the game except with the pistol. if anyone knows where i can get this i would appeciate it.

no bash? booooo

i've tried before, even with everything removed from the tik it still bashes. maybe someting in the animation files?

No bash? Why? Bashing with riflebutts is the way to fight a war soldier! If only you could fix bayonets and spill your enemies guts onto the floor THEN we would have a game on our hands.

I would love to see bashing removed and strik0rs squint mod replacing it.

Whats is this squint mod?

adds a small zoom to rifles in ckr, i think rude gave it that nickname

Used it at the aa.com server , liked it. It would be much more useful to me than the bash, which I never use.

What's wrong with the bash on other weapons? If they are close enough to bash you to death with it.. I'm sure the bullets would be just a affective. You get butt sore when people bash you?

I know I dont use the bash all that much, but damn its funny seeing someone get jacked in the jaw with a rifle while they're trying to reload!

while strik0r's thing sounds cool, i use bash all the time! i use rifles only, and the slow rate of fire on the bolt action ones is sort of offset by the bashing. plus in realism two bashes is enough to kill!

ahh yes the squint mod, gj on that stik0r. it is nice

I like to sneak up behind a sniper and bash him with the butt end of my rifle. It just seems more satisfying.

But this for my personal enjoyment. :)

on my server all weapons have scopes..except pistol and rocket. i still get the scope to work but you have to double click the mouse to get it. its annoying. i want to leave the bash with pistols and keep the scope for all other weapons. thats why i want to get rid of it. ill keep lookin.ive searched the pak files over and over but cant find it.

lose the scopes

I remeber, they said Spearhead was gonna have the zoom on the guns and bashing. Musta canceled that zoom thing.

Actually, I think I'm the one that gave it that nickname. That's pretty much the way I viewed the way it worked. The zoom was hardly effective enough to be considered a scope zoom, but gave you the same feeling that you get by squinting to see something in the distance.

It's funny because I added that to the CKR that I had along with the pistol bash that I got from Rude and then realised I was running the exact same realism that was on aa.com. So I then renamed it to AA.COMR. LOL Just for my personal enjoyment.

Butcher, until I saw your reason I was going to suggest just taking the damage to 0. However, like Strik0r said, I don't think you can remove it completely. It seems that it's hard coded into the exe. That's pretty much the same thing EA was saying when people started releasing their own version of the gewerhkjhakjlfsdf before the 2.1 patch. You'll have to wait until the SDK comes out to see how this can be changed. cry:

I would also like to see the "bashing" removed and replaced with the "squint" mod. I never use bashing either, but it would be nice to have a little better aim at a distance.

More than likely, this is carried in a .SCR file, not a .TIK file, since it's a static weapon modification. The string to start the animation is in the .TIK files, so I'll see if I can trace em to any .SCR files that include a bashing string.
