A question of morality ? Integrity ? Ethics ? All ? :-)
Hypothetical situation:
You can acquire perfect counterfeit money (the reason for it being illegal is because it wasn't printed at an official mint), untraceable and can easily be converted into real money through small amounts conversion in hundreds of local stores. Would you take the opportunity or refuse ? Whatever your final answer, please give a detailed explanation supporting your position. Thank you for your consideration and please refrain from spamming in this thread. Again, thank you for your participation. |
When it comes to crimes there is always a flaw in the system, so I would rather not take the money and earn it the hard way!
Then you're a chump!
I;d take it simply because you said it was untraceable and can be converted through outlets, but I wouldn't throw it about, that would make people ask questions. |
id do it. survival of the fittest. most people are corrupt when the opportunity presents itself, but if you were to take that chance, then you have to be prepared to deal with the consequences. but i would only do it for neccesities like groceries, not a new car or anything.

I should again stress that this is a hypothetical situation. In it, you are untraceable, the money is also untraceable and no one would ever really know what has happened. I ask one more time: would you still refuse ? |
have you ever seen the movie cheaters? most nations/civilizations were built on corruption and murder
As a future investor i would accept the money only if i knew it wasn't being distributed in a massive public distribution. If you specifically received the money, then it won't matter too much. However if the money is given to tons of people then no. Inflation would definatly go up and the value of the money is not even worth much in the first place. If you could convince enough people not to do it (hahah what a joke) then we wouldn't have a problem.
Ok when it is tax time and you have to report all your income what do you do? I'm seriously not a money crazy person and would do anything to win money....its just all hard work and blue colarism for me
Money buy's happiness. Free money makes me happy. Circle complete.
Fuck yeah I'd take it.
It's America.
I take the money. |
Heh everyone is greedy but me
OH, yer greedy too, ya just don't know it yet. Put a suitcase of untraceable cash in front of you.............hmm.........wonder what youd really do?
oOo:
Yes I would take it.
seeing as how I would plan on working for the Govt, giving me the briefcase would be a mistake
I work for the government...
hell yea id take it if it was untracable, but if anything looked suspicious id drop it like its hot and get out. then id open a bank account and depoist small ammounts of the money into it until half was in there then a quater would be invested and the other quater to spend however i choose.. but that would mean the ammount give would have to be pretty large
Fed employees are corrupt too!
I would take it!, as long as it wasnt stolen or is somehow directly hurting others then yes! Fuck the economy! its already messed up. Why would anyone feel bad about it? biggrin:
I would definetely take it, but i would put it toward a good cause.... Like JowShmoe's X-box fund! now taking donations...
Well, it really is difficult to say what would be the right route to take. Nothing is infallable, and something which people think is untracable/stealth can always be picked up. Take for instance the Australian Jindalee Over the Horizon Radar System, it can pick up American stealth aircraft 1000's of miles away when the American's are adamant that their stealth tech is invisible to radar. oOo:
I've always pretty much worked for my money. Would I take a handout of a few million if I didnt have to work a cent for it ?? Hell yes. But taking counterfeit money is whole other ball game. It's dishonest, unlawful, and when dealing in unlawful activities there is always the chance of getting caught. I would have to say no to it. |
Depends on several X factors.
1. How much? Is it enough for me to live on, or just a few hundred dollars? 2. Lump sum or gradual payments? If I get a shitload of money all at once, it would be very tempting to go buy a ferrari and new house. When the IRS takes notice, I get audited and spend some quality time in "Pound-me-in-the-ass Federal Prison" 3. Who\How do I get it from? Depending on these variables, I MIGHT take the money. |
if u believe in heaven and hell u wont take it. if u dont u would.

heh thats why you gradually spend the money so the govt doesnt take notice.. even if i got the money id still keep a job to make it less conspicous
Nah. At first glance, it seems like the right thing to do, but i don't think i could go through with it. It's the wrong thing to do.
Besides, Australia's economy is fucked enough without my pouring millions of counterfeit dollars into it. All this considered i'd have to say 'No' and Germ, just because i don't believe in Heaven or Hell doesn't mean i don't have a moral code biggrin: |
Fuck...c'mon now.....HELL YA!! evil:
You aren't hurting anybody, and you aren't going to do the economy any harm....you would need tens of millions of dollars to even start to make a little ripple in the economy. |
Never underestimate the Fuckedness of the Australian economy... hake:
I wouldn't take it.
If I knew it was counterfiet then I wouldn't use it simply kus I'm such a lil goody 2 shoes.
Yep, I would take it. As long as it was untraceable.
I would not touch it. If it truly could not be traced, the use of this money would spread like wildfire, which would in the end de-value the dollar and do even more destroy to the economy even more than George Bush can. Nothing is free, somebody always ends up paying in the end.
what's wrong with a devalued dollar? you dont wanna pay a million bucks for a candy bar?
