Lean Strafing - Immunity ?????
 

I know Lean-Strafe in MoH:AA increased peoples chance of not being hit, but i am confused, whenever some bastard comes running, leaning one way and strafing, it seems like he's virtually invincible, except from grenades.

I've rifled the hell out of people while they lean+strafe and they haven't taken a hint of damage... it's defying the physics of the game, i mean this one guy, was focused on leaning left, and was strafing back and fourth, I was maybe 20 yards away, and I shot him square in the chest with a mauser (I was not moving + in crouch position so my accuracy was tops). He never took any damage at all.

Leanstrafers = assholes, another reason I don't play AA, and a reason I only play spearhead, leanstrafing is retarded.

you cant lean strafe in sp i also hate lean strafing but it is funny wathing them run and if ya cant kill em hip out the shotgun angel:

Not calling you a liar, but I highly doubt this. Strifing while leaning doesen't cause another player to be immune to being shot.

well I've stood at a short distance and unloaded full MG/SMG clips, pounded out extremely accurate rifle blasts and even tried aimlessly spamming them with the thompson .. 95% of the time i don't record a hit.

Yep, but now you have to contend with dudes sliding around on their arses...ah well.

yeah but it's not so bad, usually when somones one thier ass they're done for. besides, if you're good enough, they are dead before they can do an ass slide.

So what yer saying is, if your leanstrafing against a leanstrafer an you had unlimited ammo, neither of you would die? Ive killed many a leanstrafer and leanstrafe myself when called for. Don't have an answer fer yer predicament.

well listening to your observations I can only propose two theories:

1) you are a piss poor shot

B) the other guy hacked an invisible .5" armored box around him a-la "Counter-stick" biggrin:

being angry at leanstrafing is like being angry at backshots or reload kills, its just stupid...

if you can't beat people who leanstrafe, then i would recommend starting to leanstrafe yourself so you can keep up... cool:

you said crouching increases your aim? when i stand still i shoot just as straight as i do crouching oOo:
btw- i love to lean-strafe, some people consider it cheap buts its cuz they cant hit their buttons fast enough mwah:
my strafe are the left and right directional keys, and my leans are the delete and page down button

For every percentile you lose in accuracy against a lean/strafer, that lean/strafer also loses a percentage of his accuracy.. The one's that over come these handicaps on both sides are the good players. The one's that cry about it... well.. they are the cry-babies..

Click the link below to watch the pendulum. While watching the pendulum.. Hold the mouse cursor in place, somewhere inside the path of the pendulums focal point, while attempting to press the left mouse button each time the focal point crosses underneath the cursor..

Once you find the most comfortable place (timing wise) where you feel confident you are hitting your target every time it gets to you, the lesson will be over.

oh shoot.. make sure your video player is set to repeat. otherwise your only going to see it move once. Pressing (Ctrl+T) then (Play) might turn on repeat. otherwise it's probably an option on the video player menu you can enable.

Type bind a "+leanleft; +moveleft" then bind d "+leanright; +moveright" in console, replace a & d with the keys of your choice.

Settles the score quite a bit in MoH:AA biggrin:

Hah, it takes more aim to shoot a person accurately while leaning and strafing... now they have a disco script that makes you dance and uses acid trip to make disco "lights" flash.

Its pretty damn funny, some guy made a demo of it, I'll post it when I find the damned link.

I was in a server where the crouch run speed was spiked to max, and the shotguns were scoped and super powered, it was some scary shit.
