Anyone else think grenades shoouldn't be a 1 hit K.O?
 
They are overpowered, today I was in the map Algiers, and I realized how grenades consisted of like 80 percent of the kills. Grenades should deal less damage, they are a silent killer. People wine and bitch about Rockets being overpowered but the real problem here are grenades and steilhemmers or whatever the axis ones are called.

I think nades are cool cuz they add some tactics to the game, although they're extremely powerful like you said. At least you will hurt yourself if you aren't careful.

i think its funny when someone throws a grenade then throws another one straight after blowing themselves up and they are like WTF? lmao laugh loads when i see that happen, it happens to me a fewtimes too biggrin:

I don't think nades are a silent killer. 90% of the time that I get killed by a nade, I know that it's about to happen (obviously, I try to get away from it).

I don't think Grenades are too powerful, infact I think its realistic that a grenade will kill you instantly (this is the only realistic part of AA or SH). What pisses me off is all of the Grenade spammers who just throw them around. One of the nice things about SH vs AA is that in a stock SH game you don't have 6 nades like you do in AA. This helps to cut down on nade spamming.

the one thing wrong with grenades is they are buggy as hell!!!

That is very realistic, because when I talked to my grandad (ww2 vet, german side) he has had plenty of nades explode no more than inches away. He says the concussion will still knock you off your bearings (much like a flashbang). He has been peppered though (he showed me his bigass scar on his leg from shrapnel), he's cool.

nades are awsome. Its so fun to chuck them over the wall on "The Hunt" and kill the allies where theres no roof. Im pretty sure they are realistic cause your not gonna stand up and walk away after a nade exploded a couple feet away from you.

Why don't you play spearhead where the number of nades are more realistic. The nades are as powered as they should be. if you don't like it make a mod and get a server to use it.

M45 Fragmentation Grenade (Today's Standard Issue NATO hand grenade) has a kill radius of 3 meters (9 feet) and a blast radius of 5 meters (15 feet). So anywhere in that range you are bound to either get hurt severly by shrapnel or die. The M19 Frag Nades used in WWII were worse; they spat out shrapnel more than todays, thats what those little carved boxes are for.

A lot of the German grenades were made by slave laborers -- they would shorten the fuse, or make them not work at all -- especially towards the end of the war. eatthis:

A little sabotage never hurt the Allied cause, but at least your grandfather made it through the war.

unfortunately i was playing hunt as allies and i threw a long range nade that hit the wall and killed 4 team mates.

Nades are my sencond best firends. Next to my rifle, I can get those scared nOObs hiding behind walls too afraid to come out cause Ill shoot them. And theres nothign more fun then having 10 nades go off next to you and living I mean common admit it you like that feeling. unless you die. And if you want to see powerful nades I suggest going to a server with Nuke Nades like Shear Mayham. All you have to do is see it and your dead. Thats when the game gets fun. M16:

Like Joe said, grenades cause a lot of damage. I beleive the M19 had a blast radius of 8 meters. Just imagine a little tin can filled with ball bearings and composition B (C4 is today's equivalent). Big boom with lots of metal flyin out at ya. The potato masher wasnt nearly as powerful (from what I've read). It's blast was only around 6 meters and the shrapnel factor wasnt nearly as high (Shrapnel to explosion count). So in fact, the grenades should be MORE powerful if y ask me.

I agree. The amount you get may be a bit high, but the weapon itself is fine.
