Most ppl prolly know about this already...but just in case, here is a link to the 3rd party modded Fallshirmjager 42 paratroop rifle. it is really cool, it isnt finished yet...but i think it has great potential.

to try it out...unzip it and drag it into your mainta folder...host your own game...be SURE to take it out after your done ;)

it still needs some tweaking...like the muzzle flash and the reload animation...but its really cool! give it a try.

Hm, and all i hear out of poeple mouths (or fingers, w/e) is, "All he does is bad". Right, then dont use the gun. ;)

I want to use the gun for singleplayer, any mods for that?

Notta, ive said many times before, i make cheats, im content with that. I see no wrong in doing so, and i also make legit mods - as you can see. Powell just gave in to everyone, i dont care what anyone thinks of me really. I just like to make things. Which is why i will continue to do both w/o caring what ppl say. Btw, ty Hollywood, i was gonna point that out myself.

I was going to coment on the fact of the fg42 comes with Spearhead.
The weapon just wasnt made available.
Then some guy uses scorios plugin for Milkshape.
Takes a screen shot of it in the editor, and take credit for someting he didnt even make.
Then this guy comes around talking about 3rd party made weapon.
What a total crock.

hey man...all i wanted to do here was let the community know a new weapon has appeared, and i wanted to let ppl know about it. instead it turned into a flamewar yet again. and then i get yelled at for calling it a 3rd party weapon. OMG ! i know nothing about modding, im not into the modding scene, excuse me if i didnt know the whole god damn backstory on who made it.

a suggestion: in the future, maybe post here first explaining how the weapon came about, and that someone is taking someone elses work and calling it his own. i had no idea. sorry. oOo:

I think they had this thing in RtCW. Hopefully its not as overpowered as it was in that game. Could be a nice equivalent to the Allies Garand.

Pretty much.

Redsoccerdevil & myself were able to use the gun, and see what it looks like when it's dropped on the ground, but you couldn't see it in your hands or hear it when it shot & reloaded. It's not THAT fast, bout as fast as the Russian Sniper Rifle on AAN.Net's server, bout 2 shots a second.

it's 2 rounds a second because the tik file is from the springfield, surely you would have realized something that simple?

Well we weren't looking into the specs of the weapon. We were trying to just get the damn thing to appear. We got as far as what I said before and just decided to forget it.

...my squad tried it out and we were able to see the weapon with no problem. i saw other guys running around with it in their hands. there are issues with it though, as its not complete yet. when you spawn, the weapon does not show up...you start out with no weapon, however all you do is switch weapons and then it shows up. there is no muzzle flash, when you fire the gun, no flash. the sound was great, i thought the report of the weapon was really well done. the reload animation has not been done yet. right now it looks like a bar reload with the clip goin in underneath instead of the side where the fg 42 magazine is. also, in doing a bit of research and looking at pics....i fail to see why the modder or EA put a scope on this thing. wtf. meh, anyways its still worth a try, its somthing new. i knew you cynical bastards would just say "another whore weapon" ...at least its something, try to be optimistic for once. eek:

The gun isnt fully complete yet. It does now show up when you select it. Its in that DL on TMT. If you choose to not DL it, thats your choice, No virus there. Anyway, I have a couple screenshots. First one is my menu, and second is the gun in game on Rungsi's Eye of the Needle. I skinned it, looks better.
