Where did you buy yours? Were they in good condition or you had to send to a gun restoration shop ?
I've heard that gun shows is a good place to get them cheap, but of course you have to send them to a shop after for a tune up.
I really don't know I just start looking about a week ago.

Look @ this site http://www.dgrguns.com/firearmsforsale.html

Did you strafe back and for while leaning when you were firing it?

Sergeant_Scrotum 01-29-2003 10:12 PM

^lol!

I dont know if i would ever get one, they arent the greatest & haveing to unload the entire round would be rather anoying. id buy Mauser K98 Rifle if i was going to get a rifle. That bolt action just floats my boat.

Simo Häyhä 01-29-2003 10:31 PM

hey good idea, go for it!

Magnum 01-30-2003 02:06 AM

Innoxx 01-30-2003 05:02 AM

Webb 01-30-2003 07:36 AM
yeah, a BAR would be sweet![/quote:64113]

You can't own a BAR in the USA (no autos here) only semi, unless you're Tom Hanks. biggrin:

Wilko 01-30-2003 08:45 AM

I think you can get replicas, Webb, but i could be wrong.

Also, a Lewis gun wouldn't go astray... evil:

In what condition, and which one? I mean, I've seen them on Ebay for about 400 - 500 too, but they weren't the best condition. Where did you see em for that price?

01-30-2003 11:11 AM

some magazine article, you have to join some club and they sell unissued originals for around there

Crap. cry:

I have a magazine from a army store that has a used disposable one for 200 bucks. It's really ratty, all scratched up, heh. But it comes with a round thats dead & the optical sight. I think I may just get that & hang it on my wall.

Sgt>Stackem 01-30-2003 02:56 PM

ebay cannot sell working firearms. I think there is a website called AIM they have great deals, as for gun shows its buyer beware. I have purchased a rifle missing a firing pin at a gun show. Go to a good gun shop they will have used firearns. I just picked an SKS from such a dealer and love it. The SKS shoots a smaller round that the M1 so watch your shoulder cause an M1 has a nice kick to it! here is a pic of SKS http://www.rt66.com/~korteng/SmallArms/sks-56.htm
one thing to consider when buyuing a gun like this is the cost of ammo. The reason I went with the SKS is because 1000 rounds is only $90!! good luck with your purchase.

Capt. Albright 01-30-2003 04:28 PM

If you guys want a bolt action, go with the Lee-Enfield less kick

Could someone explain to me the difference in semi-auto and full auto?

Sergeant_Scrotum 01-30-2003 05:14 PM
Could someone explain to me the difference in semi-auto and full auto?[/quote:faeb5]
semi=fires as fast as you can pull the trigger
auto=hold the trigger down

SW-14 01-30-2003 11:28 PM

While on the subject of guns, what's the difference in a submachine gun and a full machine gun?
