Go to http://www.download.com and search for a program called Ad-Aware. I use it and love it. It cleans out your enitre system lookin for shit like that.
|
Go into you system and fins the folder, right click n delete biggrin:
|
It ain't that easy cause it keeps claiming there is an error. But I am trying that Ad-Aware. It is running on the other PC then on this one.

it buggs the shit out of me, because im the one that has to clean that crap out... one of the reasons why i bought my own computer |
Good lad. I bought my own comp and never looked back once. Damn families fuck up comps.
|
Yeah and when the families screw with it the first thing that happens when it goes wrong,"You know its all the damn game and shit you have on the computer." hake:
Anyway That adware did get rid of Gator and other shit. |
No kidding about needing your own pc. My wife installed gator like three times. And I was getting more spam in my email account than I could stand. I had to get her her own pc and email account. Its much better now. Although I did just have a fit trying to get rid of this one annoying piece of software. I finally got it off my system, but it put shit everywhere. It added links in my favorites, changed my default homepage, added buttons to internet and windows explorer. The sneaky bastard embedded itself in the startup routines and pretty much reinstalled itself everytime I rebooted.
Why do companies think people will buy stuff if they make a pain out of themselves? |
Add/Remove:
Gator.com OfferCompanion Squire |
lol you should learn better than to download kazaa
|
[quote="Bazooka_Joe":986ce]Add/Remove:
Gator.com OfferCompanion Squire[/quote:986ce] Apparently you have never had to deal with gator. If only it was that easy. Its a nasty little bugger. |

Its a nasty little bugger.[/quote:e875d] You goto remove it, then go through that dialog box that pops up. When it tries to open the Gator homepage, close it. End of story. |
best way to get rid of gator, reformat...how do you guys get all that spyware anyways
|
use Ad-Aware
|
I use the windows built-in webpage filter. Works fine, I haven't had a popup attack yet.
