DELATOR will be running as well as an admin will be spectating all participants. if someone is found to be cheating they will be asked to leave
and if they do not leave they will be kicked out and forefit their money. It's that simple, we can not have that in our games and will not allow it in our games. If you have any questions please ask.

Ive been scammed many times myself on the net. It sucks that there are people like that out there. I kinda figured people would be a little hesitant to participate, i mean I would be to. I was hesitant to begin this project at first, but the more I got into it, the more this project became feasible. We just want to offer an alternative to the every day On-Line gaming community. Right now we are going MOHAA because its the second biggest online game next to CS. We hope to offer contest in other games as well. For right now though, all we are asking is for people to give us a chance to show them this is legit and we mean business.....lol! So if you can, join in our contests and see for yourself. We have nothing to hide from anyone. And if you wanna chat with me, i have just installed a jIRC applet on our site which will take you into our chat room on mIRC. watch powell especially, and make sure your admins are familier with detecting chameleon skins.

i have heard there is no foolproof way to stop cheating in any online game since about '97, sounds about right to me...

in a lan, yea money can be invovled and there still can be no cheating.
in a online match for a million dollars, everyone would prolly be cheating.
in a online match on a ladder, some people cheat their way to the top but they don't win anything, all they really do is destroy the integrity of the ladder and of moh, and help kill the game. that is why not everyone cheats on the ladders.

in this online competition for a the donations, could very well be some cheaters there and could very well be a cheater who takes it.. go tg!

you can't detect them, but if you watch the person carefully enough you can usually tell there is something shady going on.

Everybody pays like $10 to enter but only $8 goes to the pot. Whatever it is I could set this up and make a weeks pay for one night. Even if its legit its been prooven the only way to do this legit without much chance of cheating is a big LAN where they have guys who watch the players first hand.

Ok now if you had read what was on the website, youde see that $62 goes to 1st place, $20.00 to 2nd, and $10.50 to 3rd. So you see how that goes? It is possible. When it comes down to it all, there is only 1 major cheat that can be used and cannot be detected. That would of course be Chameleon Skins. Now depending on the people you choose, it would affect the level of security given to the contest.

In conclusion, if you have the right contestants and admins that have a sharp eye for cheats, then yes this can be done legit.

Yes, it is highly possible to cheat and still win unnoticed. Even with Chameleon Skins or a WallHack, one can still know where others are while "pretending" not to know, and just happen to "stumble" on to them and kill them everytime. I have seen this time and time again, and makes it difficult for admins to spot cheaters using these cheats.

The only real method of cheat detection is with admins in spec-mode with a sharp eye for things. If you are indeed holding this contest tomorrow, then I would suggest at least 5 trusting persons in spec-mode watching all the players. This way, you can at least try to combat any cheats that may arise during the contest.

Of course run Delator anyways. Just as an added protection.

judging by the people hosting this tourney, the people registering, etc. this wont be ur average contest. i can see this thing crashing and burning, or the admins calling cheater everytime they see a good player. either that or everyones gonna cheat, and admins wont pick up shit. either way people are gonna cheat in this.. i mean come on playing for money? not hard to go download some skill in 2 seconds, 2 hours later ur 62 dollars richer.

You have a good point. When the idea of money is thrown into the pot, the cheaters are sure to come out of the wood-works for the chance to get some cash.

I suggest playing for bragging rights versus money. Should eliminate the chance that cheats will arise during the contest.
