I got it a few days ago wondering if anyone else heere has it and if the like it our not

Only 20 bucks right? Does it lag more? I dont mean as in multiplayer but in general as in does it need a higher end system? Those maps seem to have a little more detail in em.

Actually, it seems to run better...sp and mp.

What exactly does the expansion pack feature?

New maps? New vehicles? New weapons?

6 New maps some new weapons New forces THe Free French Forces and the Italians and some new vehicals

Hey I was gonna get it, but my only question is if it is integrated with BF. Like do you have to use the second CD to run that game, and play between the orignal and the expansion? similar to SpearHead. Or do you just install the new maps and vehicles and such, and then you just use the opld CD to play on both the original and the expansion?

anyway as i was saying, BORING! i find myself playing the original more and haven't had any urge to play rtr mp.

If you like BF1942, it's worth the $19 or so bucks. I like the Salerno and the Monte Cassino maps. You have to fight up hill. fire1:

I thought it was good. The reduced price made for a good buy. On top of the 20, I dropped 12 and got it for 8 bucks. (My friend works at Eletronics Boutique. biggrin: )

Weapons are ok, the maps are cool, overall I think it's good. But man, we need a SDK to make our own maps!!! (I think there is one, but it sux)

Is there anywhere where one might download the 'demo' cool: of Road to Rome?

ya i think it was good i got it in the mail the day after it came out. The maps load quicker this time. Thats a miracle.

Is it just me or is there no engine sound for the german bomber? I have to turn it up to medium sound for engine and propeller noises cry: but medium sound lags. And even with sound detail up there is still a moment of silence that i hate when the engine sound turns off and the propeller sounds kick in. Oh and how do i check my FPS in BF1942??

Use FRAPS. I got 42 in 800x600 with a Gf4. What a crappy engine.

HA! you guys are teh suxs! my computer is so bad it dint even come close to the min requirements on the box. PII 350 (PIII 500 is required on box) & a gf 2 mx400 & i can get an FPS of 40 with the settings on high biggrin: suckas!

It needs alot of tweaking on the sound and stability.

i was goina start a thread about whos got the crapest computer...NEVER MIND.

I bought it, installed it, played it, then slapped my self, unistalled it and returned it.

french skins? what are they POW uniforms

Yeah, I had to run it in 2 speaker mode or else it sounded like they fucking blew up. And 44khz kills the performance.

Aw shit, i was dogfighting this guy for half an hour, i was so into it biggrin: This guy had mad skillz, but i stuck on him, after all that friken time fighting we shoot each other down at the same time! oOo: Then we both parachute right next to each other! ed: And then to top it off he pulls out his BAR and im stuck with a rifle so i bust out the walter and we manage to kill each other at the same time! cry: WTH? All that time fighting this guy and we break off even.

LOL! iv had that kind of stuff happen before.

the new french skins are interesting.. they are INDEED POW uniforms and thier new 'weapon' is a stick with a flag on it..

the objective is to get captured alive...
