ICB clan KICKED and BANNED from ALL TWL ladders ed:

On Saturday night two members of OCG had a SH match with Clan ICB (in cold blood) Right before the match an OCG member/admin decided to do a dumpuser and guess what we saw?
dm_playermodel: allied_sas_n
dm_playergermanmodel: german_panzer_shutze_n


As you can see their skins show an ( n ) behind the skin's name. IE:german_panzer_shutze_n From OCG testing of cheats we know this is a Chameleon skin that when turned OFF renames the default skins and adds the ( n ) to the name. Needless to say our members not only took SS’s but also video taped their actions as well. We also went one step further and with our force screen shot script took a force SS on the two ICB members and after 40 min of WAITING we and the TWL admin got the SS of their models, but guess what their models where missing! In TWL rules it states ONLY DEFAULT SKINS can be used in league play! ICB wasn’t using the default skins and the TWL admin kicked and banned their entire team for CHEATING!!

Sounds like they got their just deserts!

I don't think it really matters, it's already been done, TWL banned them.

Where did you all get this news? I play alot on their server and they appear to be against cheats and even made sure I wasn't using them when I was playing. Sad news. hake:

I hade a 2v2 with them about 2 weeks ago and they seemed clean. Sad if 2 members ruined it for the rest of clan

Clan removed from Funclan ladder and The Cheat Police.
This weekend 21st Stealth Squadron was removed from the Funclan-list for cheating in a match. Before the expulsion I was asked to evaluate the proof and in my mind there is no shadow of a doubt that this clan was indeed cheating heavily. The amusing thing is that they incriminated themselves by submitting an end-of-match screenshot clearly showing a wall-hack.

As members of this site they have also brought shame upon themselves and our membership, we did not hesitate in removing them. These things cannot and will not be tolerated. For more info look at http://www.funclans.com

who cares, why do people freak out when they find out someone is cheating? most good people now a days that play this game cheat, that is exactly why i dont play it any more

I don't know where you did your " extensive testing of cheats "
by my count there are 11 different sets of the chameleon skins floating around the net. NOT A SINGLE ONE will automaticlly put a _n after the name.

If someone can prove I'm wrong about a cameleon skin which places a _n when it off. Feel free to prove me wrong.
From what I know, it would be impossible for anything to change a model name on the fly while in the game. The only thing that could be done is switching to another model with another name.

If ICB got busted by a forced screenshot, fine thats one thing.
If ICB was only busted by someones elses screenshot of a dumbuser screen. To me thats not proof at all. It would only take an idiot a minute to doctor a dumpuser screenshot. You have to remember we are talking about simple text here, simple text is very easy to change.
For those of you who don't know, there was a team kicked of of TWL a long time ago for supposedly cheating. The only proof was a screenshot showing a dumpuser with non-default skins. In the end the team who got kicked for the non-stock skins was reinstated, after someone proved the dumpuser screen was fake. The person who faked the dumpuser screenshot made the mistake of using capital letters, while the real dumpuser only shows lower case.

I haven't been around much, gaming took a backseat to life.

I assume this is like other ones, where it's two set of skins, one set of chameleons and a set of stock skins. Then a key bind set to toggle between the two.

The point I was trying to make is you couldn't change the name of a model on the fly, you can only switch models.

If I remember right. The 1st person who made a script to toggle stock and cheats skins was Cookie Monster aka TEAMGOD Justin.

Yeah, it was that stupid little boy. He has made a whole bunch of little toggles like that. Its a bit ridiculous.

Everything else with the skins is as you state. The stock skins get renamed with the _n at the end so that the cheat skins can bypass delator.

What is the deal with this _n business? The stock skins do not get renamed at all. The Chameleon Skins are named the exact same as the stock, thus overriding them. No change in name occurs. I would know from before.

The user_***.pk3 file inserts a full compliment of new skins, AA and SH. The cheat skins in the pack I am referring to do not override the stock skins. They replace them with the cheat skins. The stock skins are renamed with the _n suffix. The toggles change the skin in use. The cheater is vunerable to delator for the time it takes him to take a screenshot and switch back to the cheat skins, but if I understand the way delator works correctly, the risk is still minimal. The "safe screenshot" hotkey does not work, or at least it didnt for me and I didnt pursue it to see if it could. I am not familiar with how an skin packs other than this one work, and havent dug into this one in any depth. If you want the name of the pack, I can pm it to you.

Whoever used these skins is dumb..... The way the toggle works is it will rename a set of chameleon skins to say allied_pilot, so that the dumpuser thinks its allied_pilot. When teh screen is asked for, then the use presses a button that is binded to use the real allied_pilot included in the cheat, that has been renamed to allied_pilot_n. This skin LOOKS real, but is named differently. The button will switch to allied_pilot_n for a split second, take screenshot, then switch back so dumpuser is none the wiser.....

The correct headline here is ICB clan KICKED and BANNED from ALL TWL ladders for NOT CHEATING. Read the posts here and at http://www.ocgamers.net The _n indicates cheat skins disabled. If our clan leader and co leader had gone into this match wearing these skins this would have not shown on a dumpuser and reading Druid's post he raises some serious questions about dumbusers. We have already been convicted in the court of world opinion and no one has asked us what really happened but as I say, please read the posts again, the _n indicates there were no cheat skins enabled. I don't get it, we go into a match to fight fair and square against a clan that was upset because we had beaten them before, (and we all know they are such great players anyone who beats them must be cheating) , they apparently had the TWL admin waiting for us and managed to get rid of us. Congrats on your victory OCG. Now, we have a ss from TWL that shows the dumpuser and a strange glowing orange object on the right side of the screen, Could it be OCG had neon skins enabled and were too stupid to catch this on their ss? admins use cheat skins to spot cheaters easily. makes sense...ive played icb on many occasions.. never have i thought they cheated. who knows what really happened.. maybe they were cheating maybe they werent. or maybe they just had cheats in the game but didng want to use them.

True, if admins have the skins, it would be easier to detect them, but it would be purely judgemental, and any smart cheaters wouldnt show their cheating blatantly.

Why is there not more control of "admins" and laddering groups to help keep it (cheating) to a minimum? It would require time, effort and a sense of honor and more direction other than "get a ss". Most cheats you can tell they are there by player behavior, but its difficult to get that "ss" that ultimately show the hack. How do you get a ss that show that no matter the approach, the target ALWAYS knows which way you are coming and never "missfires"? You cant. Assumptions are made and from what I have seen, its all in "who" you know...not the facts of the situation. And that is a shame. Not all facts are addressed and some are even misconstrued.

And we all know that "ss" can be corrupted, edited or plain out cheated on within themselves. So why is it the "only" way to prove someone cheats? There is no "ultimate" way to catch a cheater. But they dont allow scanners or any other method short of dump user (a waste of time due to ease of editablity) to catch cheaters. How does this promote fair game play?

To many peoples ego and life value is attached to playing a game. Many people think that coming into a match, server, game environment and using cheats makes them "big men/women". But what they dont take into account, and are probably not honorable enough to realize, is that THEY (the user) are NOT playing. The computer is playing for them. How is that a show of skills?

This is not to say that there are not very excellent players. There are and I bet they get accused of cheating all the time. I have seen them and even made the false accusations myself. But in studying and watching, you will pick out the "modified" player 95% of the time. They ALWAYS make a mistake that gives he/she away. You just have to be sharp and observant enough to catch it.

I enjoy playing with the people of superior skill. I learn from their tactics. And when I loose, I loose to a person who is better, not a person whose has more files or more edited files than I do.

No, I no longer ladder (prior to the unfortunate incident) because its frustrating to play when you know there is cheating going on and the "admins" blow you off. And since live is short and its just a game, I prefer to play with loyal clan and a countless few that play on our server with honor, and fun.

I dont see how having an _n after the skin name equals not cheating. Why wouldnt it be a stock skin name? That makes no sense at all.

What he is saying is that by using the skins with the _n after them he is using the stock version of his cheat skins. With that cheat installed, to use stock skins, you have to use the ones with a _n.

He is basically saying they were too dumb to remove the user_cheat.pk3 file from his main folder, or too dumb to go into the game using the undetectable skins. And I agree. They were too dumb. Why they would think that a ladder would allow them to go into a match with chameleon skins a keystroke away is beyond me. The sign that says no guns allowed in the airport does not mean you can bring one in if you promise not to use it.

You all must realize that Juggernaut here is actual PAS from MPC. And PAS made a little menu called Brimstone which enables you to toggle between stock and cheat skins. And here he sits acting like nothing is wrong. hake:

Nothing is wrong. I dont feel guilty at all about making cheats. All the stuff Ive done has been done before, i just made it a little easier. I dont even play this game anymore, But i find myself consumed with making "things" for it (i also make skins) i dunno why.

I too thing it is wrong to cheat in matches, and this clan can't claim they wernt cheating, as they most likely were toggling back and forth, the dumpuser most likely just caught them on the clean skins.

What we most realize is that MPowell is Mpowell from MPC and he created a little thing called Tracer CHameleon skins, chameeleon skins that had a visual effect and override all stock skins so they arent touched by anti force models programs. Too bad they were an FPS whore. But you forgot that the skins in Brimstone arent effected by fog

BTW, Brimstone sucked, my new menu will be 8 times better.....

Well I am going to keep this thread from going AWOL so I am just going to end off by saying this. Yes I MADE cheats. MADE being the keyword. The problem with you is that you are still MAKING them and you don't feel guilty about ruining the game.
