What exactly is airsoft? It looks alot like real guns to me.
they're supposed to, they shoot hollow 6mm pellets. either gas operated or battery, i have a battery thompson and m4 and they look super realistic. have everything from m24 to kar98s to ak47s to m60s, good stuff
Yep, as stikor says they shoot pellets.
Its basically paintball with pellets. you do NOT want to be hit by a psg1 sniper pellet. heavy things and they hurt like hell! I have a g3 sg1, a brilliant all round gun, great for sniping, assault, and support. i fitted upgraded gears, so its shoots harder and faster. People think its just standard, and that it doesnt have good range, but they soon find out different cool: I have a soccom sidearm and its fun clearing out a building or bunker with one, kind of like an insult kill, like pistol whipping in MOHAA. I got a direct hit by a grenade one time, i had to miss the rest of the game as i couldnt walk without hurting. All in good fun though Its an expensive hobby though....but a great laugh. |
They don't happen to make an airsoft M1 garand do they??
Damn, I'd buy one of those in a heartbeat! Zone |
no idea zoner, i've only seen the kar but i can't even find that
A kar would be kickass too... biggrin:

Here is some info on an airsoft m1 garand........near the bottom of the page...
http://squadx.ukairsoft.net/modules.php ... ew_topic=6 in short, it is gas powered (which is a bit of a drag as it means having to buy refils all the time) and is expected to go on sale sometime this summer. Ohh, and there will be a soundbox fitted in the rifle butt, for all the genune sounds and tha wonder *pling* when a bandalier is finished. |
I believe I just soiled myself...

Well, scotland, and i dont own either of those guns, partly because the m1 hasnt even gone into production yet, but i do have a big garden, and we could find some sticks that look like guns and play soldiers. and i have an acorn tree we could use the acorns as grenades, and shoot make beleive germans. and if that gets boring we could find us some injuns and them thar verments yee haw! ride em cowboy. etc etc
no? |

come get some bitches evil: |
I ownz0r a KWC Desert Eagle. It looks REAL and its fun to goof off in the backyard with. I've wanted to buy an M4 or MP5 for a while now, but I dunno what I'd do with it. Anyhow I believe someone already makes an M1 Carbine. I know theres an MP-44 available too. Check [url:b2e94]http://www.dentrinityshop.com[/url:b2e94] for the M1 and StG. They have good prices, but you've got to pay hella-shipping from Japan.
I have the G17 its fun, I can shoot while watching the tube!

I don't know about where you live, but out here in the Lower Mainland area, almost every surplus shop carries airsoft guns and supplies. |

You should have seen some of the "classic army" real metal brand stuff I saw on eBay. ed: /me drools I'm drooling just thinking about it. ed: Oh, that's another place you can try, Scrotum, ebay.ca cool: |
Ill just wait 4 months, than i get the real deal biggrin:
my M4 is CA, thompson is TM
I saw this sweet Classic Army MP5A3 on eBay, retractable stock, working tactical light, optical sights, it looked exactly like the real thing *drools*
If they shoot pellets, then what does that M249 SAW shoot? I saw a damn ammo can and belt feeding into it, looks real enough to me! heh
2500 pellets
Is it true in the US you have to have the orange paint on the front to tell if it isnt real? I read that on a site and the orange paint makes it look really crappy.
ja, but it's real easy to scratch off.
how easy
well about 5% has come off just from setting it against the wall
on the m4 the flash supressor is all orange which sucks, thompson is only the end of the barrel so that's easiest. you could always try duct tape, would look stupid up close but can rip it off when the cops come evil: |
Use paint thinner. Or you can usually buy a replacement part without the paint.
Ill use gaffer's tape
