I think it could be a bit more realistic, but I love it as it is anyway.

The realism server side mods have helped the MP Demo become quite realistic. The SP Demo is pretty much arcade like.

No it's not realistic, but it's a good mix of realism and playability to make it real good fun. The only FPS ive played that I could say, 'yes this is realistic' is Operation Flashpoint.

Given that the question was "Is the game realistic?", Capt. Knight's post pointed out the fact that in the game you are allowed to carry 5, coun't em, 5 different weapons:

a pistol
a rifle
a light MG
a sub MG
an anti-tank weapon

I won't even count the grenades.

I won't hold against you the fact that you are probably in the 12-15 year old range and have no idea how the real world works, but you should have enough common sense to know that in real life a soldier can't carry that many weapons, plus ammo for all of them. Ergo, the game takes a shot in the realism department.

Let me put it this way!

If you want realism, go join the army!

If you want an awesome game, Play MOH!

Now, See if you can figure out what I mean!

After watching one of my AI teammates stand there and take like 40 rounds from an MG42 and then move off and keep fighting, I would have to say no. lol
The mp is a little more so, Covak and Pooter helped alot with the CPR mod but it still isnt super realistic. Fun yes.

well first off I do not think the Panzershrek
was able to take a Tiger tank out in the first place.And you COULD carry all that ammo and weaponry,but you would be walking like Igor....well all of you DO know this is just a game right?This was made for FUN...anyone who is a "Detail Freak" needs to get a job as a Historian...This game is NOT touted as an ACTUAL account of World War 2...this is a S-I-M-U-L-A-T-I-O-N....get it??

Fun yes. Challenging or realistic, no.

Ideal thing would be to graft MoH's graphics over OPF's code. THAT would frigging rock big time.

the game is fun but the game gets to boring when 10 people using the rocket launcher... 1 guy with rocket ,2 snipers and 1 shotgunner and the rest other weapons. its more fun.. i like this game so mush . im in löve again.

Its realistic but i dont like that i cant kill my own team the AI. because its not realistic.. and also they have like 1000 in hp. but the game ROCKS beside that.

What does age have to do with anything here buddy ? Get your head out of your ass, and stop acting like your so much more superior to anyone younger than you. I dont know how many times I've pointed this out, or the other guys who know the score, but this game was never meant to be realistic. Authentic, yes, but still an action game. GAME, meaning fun, while putting us in an authentic environment.

I occasionally take offense when people put me into the 12-15 year old group, calling us all lamers and newbs. Im 15. I homeschool. I go to college part time. I am seemingly one of the few who realize that this is a GAME. Tell me, if the ai, who shoots so well, killed you in 1 hit, would that be FUN? No. Well, perhaps to some people, but to the vast majority who like to play games, to ESCAPE from reality perhaps, it wouldnt. Really, why do you play games? Cuz theyre real? No. Cuz theyre different from real life. And because theyre fun. So, before you post any more comments about lamerz, noobs, and idiots, take a moment to think.

Simple solution for developers who aren't shiftless:

OPTIONS BUTTONS.

For those who want relaxed fun: BUTTON1 = TEN SHOTS TO KILL.

For those who want realism: BUTTON2 = ONE SHOT TO KILL.

But I guess that's just tooooooooo complicated for the poor dears to cope with.

Can you fire a RPG off the top of a wall and not fall? In MoH you can, so you decide for yourself if it's relalistic or not.

Oh,please! The list of things that are not realistic with MoH is huge! I don't even want to try to think of them all. But I don't care because it is fun. If I wanted realism I wouldn't be playing a game.

Now, for you people who only know what you 'learned' in video games, here is a sample...

When someone dies, they don't drop a magical health pack that someone can run over to have half their health restored.

When someone is shot 3 times in the back by a machine gun, they don't turn around and kill the shooter with a shotty blast, because they are already dead!

When someone is shot once, they tend to bleed, thus losing health continuously. Also, the wound makes it difficult to run or wield a gun.

When an anti-tank shell explodes 10 feet from you, you don't rush the shooter and gun him down, because you're already dead. If it lands 100 feet from you, then I guess maybe you will survive long enough to urinate and defecate in your pants before gaining enough sense to jump into the nearest ditch and start praying.

Anyone care to add to the above?

I like the realism mod. Great mod.

Actually you probably could do that in real life, RPG's have very little kick because the wash streams straight out the back.

If it were realistic, one good shot in the gut would have you incapacitated.

It's perfect the way it is, it's a lot more realistic than most other games of it's kind, as in the sounds, weapon kickback and atmosphere.
