This game really should be called Medal of Honor: American Assault. There is no evidence of any other countries, except in maybe one level. I'd have to say the British were the deciding country in the war, without them the war may have been lost. But it still would have been very hard to win without all the countries joined. But hitler's plan was so simple that he would need very little resistance by the other countries if he wanted to execute it properly, thats why i dont think he really could have won either way....unless he took over Britain and built up there for a few years THEN shipped off to North America....but he is too insane, stubborn & impatient to do something like that. But Americans defiantely were not the best country in the war like you flag-waving yanks think.

Just as I said before I think the game should honestly be called "American Assault" the thing i dont get is that everyone thinks that On D-Day the americans were the only ones who stomred the beaches, when the brits took 2 beaches, the yanks took 2 beahces and the canadians took 1 beach and might I add, who took the longest to secure their beach, the yanks. but like i said before i just want the game makers to give the credit the brits and canadians deserve and put something into the game for them, ya know!

Who ever was the person who said something about most of the pilots coming from? If you have ever heard or read the book on how Canada was called the "Eurodrome of the world in WW2" becasue 90% of all allied pilots trained in Canada, yes its true! even the yanks, same with all the spies and that "Camp X" and so on. Even today NATO has declared that in a world war Canada is to be the #1 to train pilots. so whoever said that post about pilots, shup up and be quiet becasue your maiking yourself sound dumb

To get BACK to the original topic of this thread, I agree that to add to the realism it would be interesting to see in the game other allied forces fighting with Americans
and I say this as an American, Also the British Marines are one the most elite and self-disciplined units I have ever trained with (former USMC) They have got MOUT(Military Operations on Urban Terrain) training down to an art. I also agree with the Brit. The Germans would have had to stop the invasion of Russia before they would even have a chance of invading Britain. But they couldn't, that would leave the door wide open for Russia. But i'm just ramblin http://www.alliedassault.com/ubb/smile.gif, We will see when the game hits the shelves what other nations we get to fight with...Also I hope the game includes a map that is similar to the movie "The Dirty Dozen" with the mansion and the big party in the mansion, disguising as German Officers etc. that would be really cool, does anyone of this in the final version?? |

Some of you really should read up on your history books.
Until the USA joined the war, the allies were just about holding their own against the axis powers. The USA was supplying the UK (by the way IHaveNOFriendsAndISuck , England is PART of the UK you idiot) with supplies, and despite the losses incured on the US by german U Bpoat attacks they refused to enter the war. The Japs, pre empting an attack on themselves from the USA attacked the States forcing them into the war. The battle of Britain was fought mainly by Brits, with polish,Australian and Canadian help. The Atomic bomb was co- developed by the british, Russians and US. The US actualy stiffed us Brits out of the complete designs of the Atomic bomb after reigning on an intel sharing deal that led to the development of the weapon. You people can argue all you like about who was *better* during the war. However, even if the Japs had not attacked Perl Harbour, the US would have been drawn into the war, as Hitler had plans for attacks on mainland USA (Airships were the idea iirc) It was a nasty mess, and people on both sides lost a lot of good people, luckily for the US, their civilian casualty lists were extremely small compared to those of the Europeans and Asian sub-continants. Someone one this thread said earlier that the allies would have eventually won the war without US intervention and that the war would have probably dragged out until 1950. Consider the amount of new weapons Germany was developing in the closing years of the war. These included long-range jet bombers, the fastest fighters known to man (the Me-262) and all sorts of ballistic missles. If the war was allowed to continue until that time without the immense bombing campaign shared by the US and Britain, dont be so sure that the allies would have won the war at all.

In a way I'd be glad if they didn't impliment any British forces in the game. It'll just end up being the usual clichéd 'Tally-Ho!' and 'Cheerio!' and 'Come back when you've had your tea and crumpets!' crap that the Americans seem to think we spout all the time.
