Oh jesus...don't get me STARTED!

If you haven't gotten it yet, go out and buy "Powerslave". It is THE definitive Iron Maiden album. "Aces High", "2 Minutes to Midnight", "Rime of the Ancient Mariner"...classics.

Get the latest one too, "Brave New World"...it's my favorite out of them all...and I have them all.

There are a few Best of.. cds out there. A new one "Edward the Great" will give you most of the essential songs. If you can find the double CD "Best of the Beast", get it.

UP THE IRONS!

Give Me 'Ed til I'm Dead!

Agreed, Zone!

Edward the Great is a perfect starting point...Number of the Beast is a classic album, Powerslave has the duallie guitars and time changes that help make Maiden great...Brave New World is my favorite, too, but we can't give it a "classic" designation if time is your only yardstick.

Also, to hear the live Maiden Experience (which we all must at some point freak: ), pick up the double cd of Live After Death...many fans and critics agree that this is the best live metal album in history.

Just my $0.02.

I like everyone of thier albums, but if you want an old album with a lot of thier popular songs then I would say "piece of mind" or "powerslave". As Zone said, every album is great including the BNW, which I just picked up no too long ago.

Long Live Maiden!!!

Hardly.

If you don't like Maiden, fine. Why would you even bother to post if you had nothing relevant to say? Are you that much of a pathetic asshat?

Talk about a useless post...Old Reliable had to open his/her frothy, shining lips when nobody was talking to him/her, by the very substance of this discussion. Did you laugh like Cletus from The Simpsons when you clicked "Submit"?

Zoner your right on the money Brudder!! evil:

Powerslave is one of the best if not THE best 'Maiden album around. I also like "Piece of Mind" too.

OK, I'm gonna show my age now so lookout!! I saw 'Maiden on their very first tour for "Killers" with this guy named Paul DiAnno singing with 'em. I think he split with 'em right after a few shows but I got to see them anyway. I also saw their tours for NOTB, POM and PS, and SSOASS. mwah:
