I think I understand how these n00bs operate though, its like when I looked in on a star wars galaxies forum and saw all the excellent new features, but then noticed how mad and enraged some of the forum people were at this Mmorpg for leaving out some key ideas lol Theres me the complete rpg-n00b who thought "wow this game looks great!" hehehe like these kids are in here who never played mohaa but play spearhead and think WOW fantastic! Speahead owns. I don't know what the hell everyone's problem with it is. There are some great new multiplayer maps (smoke grenades are kinda useless because i just edited the smoke to see through it) the Gewergranate is an absolutely awesome weapon (tho i don't use it much) you can bash peole without having to switch to ur damn pistol, and the built in realism is soooooooo much better than the gayness that is CKR.

well i dont know why u all bitch at spearhead. it was buggy, i got no bugs but the shoting no sound bug. MP rocks SP is good but short thats all as for rising sun. maybe they are putting things in it that would make it hard to play on PC who knows. but im pissed that starcraf ghost is console only. blizard got quality until now. still getting WC3 exp. tho

any ways PTMOH will be an 'updated q3' engine which will make the outdoor envronments look better and more rubble on the street<--much needed

Right on Both parts. The people ruined the game by making cheats for it. But EA ruined it by not backing the game with fixes to counter those cheats. Which they had plenty of time to do before SH even hit the racks. But they pretty much have abandoned MOHAA like a red headed step child. Shows that they care more about the almighty dollar then they do for the consumers.

people ruin the game because they are pussies that only use mgs/sgs/rockets its so fucking old now. EVERY single server i go into its filled with a bunch of n00bs running around with those stupid weapons so its hard to get a good shot at them with a springfield. its no fun anymore

Well, OK, that's your opinion. But I'm guessing that when MoHAA was just released you thought differently? I mean, on some public servers I'm annoyed too, but I still think MoHAA (not Spearhead) is a great game, and definitely worth an expansion patch.

But on-topic: The next expansion pack. If I had to choose between an expansion pack and a new patch (for regular MoHAA) that made cheating impossible for the next 5-7 months (like it was when MoHAA was still new) I'd choose the patch. I'd be willing to pay as much for the patch as I should have paid for Spearhead, on certain conditions: Some new skins/weapons and >7 new maps, just as well balanced as those of original MoHAA. Not some cheap rehash like Spearhead's maps are. Furthermore: Original MoHAA gameplay. And, of course: Continued online support.

That's what I'd like. That's what I need. That's what a lot of people need who used to think MoHAA was great.

But I think the following will happen:

- No new expansion pack
- 1 patch at most; for Spearhead, not MoHAA of course. The patch will turn out to be useless within weeks; cheats will return.
- A brand new release in February 2004.
