Is Spearhead worth the money, or is it just a waste of time?

Play the demo with the latest patch, and be the judge yourself. I liked the demo, and the Single play, but the MP factor sucks compared to MOH:AA.

I love Spearhead MP. Single player is unplayable on my crappy machine, but MP works very well.

I'd recommend buying it. It's not THAT expensive.

lol I was so excited when I first opened the Spearhead box and popped that CD into my computer, it was a very special day for me.

I want someone else to spend hard earned cash on a copy like I did, and share the moment biggrin:

I like Spearhead SP. Although my machine has some difficulty running smoothly in some levels, but MP works well. Unfortunately I don't like Spearhead MP; consider that to be an understatement.

I'd recommend downloading it. It's not THAT large.

wtf single player is worthless. the whole big schlabang about falling out of a plane is seeing a bland ground from the top going into a farm house and shooting people like the level where you escape from the bio facility in the end of MOHAA. The MP is awesome! new maps guns realism mod is built in. I think that just the factor of having smoke grenades to cover u from snipers is worth it. Now when i play the hunt im not afraid to run across the street as an ally cause i can smoke the snipes at the end of the road. Go spend 20 $ now im pissed cause some how my spear head disc got a small crack and now cd rom wont read it. any suggestions? im running on no cd crack now.

i bought it and modded some of the maps for my server..put the aa guns in different maps. added some smoke and fire...really picked it up a great deal..id recommend it highly. my regulars play every night and love it.BUY IT.

single players seams to be good . Mutiplayer is a mix of moh and ut2003 .

Can be compare as a mix of tomato juice and milk , see what i mean?

I found the best solution to Spearhead was to put it back in the box and leave it there, then come in here once a day for 3 months and tell you all how unhappy I am lol biggrin:

it's worth it just for the new MP maps single player is ok at best but hosting a server is now easer thanks to the built in realism and health drop control
i personly recomend you buy it but what you sould do is play the demo with patch and decied for your self

Even with the average SP, the MP alone is enough for me to recommend you buy it. It really isn't as bad as everyone says it is. Just buggy animations and a few sound glitches. The new weapons and maps are very nice, but before dropping $20 to $30 down for it, play the demo.

Totally agree with Powell.

In my experience, the few glitches are overshadowed by the great time I'm having playing online.

Just some buggy animation? well , when i kill 80 noob in minutes and i got 80 buggy animation , thats comming a lot for a just .

Or when someone is reloading and you kill it , the sound of the reload still there . wow beta tester realy onw .

They din't even fix the bug/glicht of mohaa .

The bugs is almost a feature in spearhead .


Map are almost big as bf 1942 . The speed of running was increase because map was big , haha! but now the speed of running is slow and map are too big .

Thats a real joke .

They get rid of lean when everybody like this , why not be a little more smart and fix the lean physic .

Pistol is a almost a shotgun . eek:

i tried to play with pistol only and i get almost same kill as smg . mouhahahaha

The great feature of spearhead is grenade delay boom .
And the riffle is now good enought to be use a lot .
And for me , the grenade riffle is good because it give the riffle some advantage to be use in ladder (witht 3 ammo limits) . (but all server removed it ,ahahhahaah)


Sniping is spearhead is a real pain in the ass , all the great sniping skill we earn on mohaa is destroy with this slow shit scope run .

I'm not bullshittin'. I'm having a blast playing Spearhead MP. Single player is not playable on my shitty computer, but multiplayer plays great.

Overlook a few annoying bugs and have some fun with it.

Except there is no point to playing multiplayer. You either blow up a bomb or kill people. No special stuff at all. MOHAA/SH's multiplayer is VERY mediocre.

For me, that's the whole point. No need for extra stuff to make it interesting. The MoHAA 'feel' is what I like; balanced maps and weapons (except maybe for the shotgun). It's just right. Nice maps (I am not that fond of futuristic Unreal stuff). Many many hours of fun. Too bad lots of people cheat.

(This I may have said somewhere before: I dislike Spearhead. It feels different (in this case different = not good). Maps look nice, but gameplay on it is not nearly as good as in original MoHAA. SP is nice but short. Choppy performance compared to MoHAA.

I recommend downloading it. You won't be disappointed)

Spearhead SP isn't all that bad I agree, but MP would be so much better with bug fixes.

Yes they did release a pacth . And yes It does actually help to fix the bugs. The rifles not makind there firing sound the pacth will fix it. Too bad my pacth can't install oOo:

Accually the patch doesn't fix anything. It also adds the floating bug and some other glitches.

hmm i play quite regularly on battlefield and get really good fps and smooth gameplay with upto 40 people. I'd love to play battlefield without the vechicles... and some of the old mohaa voices etc.... which are missing from battlefield and also spearhead which is the topic.

Every game has its share of bugs. If you did realize that EA wasn't supporting AA, why would you buy SH? Some of you act like it is totally unplayable, which is most certainly is not. Wow, a couple of problems and some new and weird graphics, and you get all bent out of shape about it. Try checking out some of the positive things about SH, and you will see how sweet it can be to play it online. Too much focus on negative aspects.
