One thing that's a hindrance to the DVD-RW's is that they still have not decided on a standard read/write format yet. It's a real annoyance. That's why i've been holding off on getting one.

Aw, dammit! That's the one I want! It does DVD-R & DVD-RW AND DVD+R & DVD+RW! Mine only does the +, and its getting its arse kicked by the -R because of compatibility and burning speeds. cry:

You can partly blame the entertainment industry for that. They have been fighting to keep the formats nonstandardized for fear of piracy. What a joke.
