Don't think i'm weird for asking this. I was sitting by my fireplace (actually a pellet stove=alot better) Anyway, i was getting pretty close and I realized the longer you stay infront of something that is REALLY HOT your skin gets pretty ichy. It made me want to tear my skin off from the "ichiness". WHY?

Youre cooking your skin, its burning and becoming irritated. so hence why you want to scratch it off.
it wont be visibly burnt, but redder.

Dont do that. Its dumb.

Its fun when you get burned (a minor one that is). When it heals, it fills up with pus and then you can pop it! hours of fun if you record it!

burns suck. I picked up a hot metal stand in chem the other day, and i didnt realize that it had been directly over a burner for a good 20 minutes. You could hear my skin cooking and sizzling, and it smelled like burnt flesh (probably because it was). It was not fun.

Now what's the difference in this thread, and a post by pradetorian? hake:

It happens also when you're very cold and suddenly your skin contacts with hot and very itchy. W00T oOo:

You better watch out. When I went to The Phillipines a couple years back, I had rashes and bumps all over my arms, legs, neck, and chest. I got really freaked out cause I thought I caught ebola or some shit. The doc told me that my body was reacting very harshly to the extreme climate change (from northern Canada to central Phillipines) and he said some tagalog shit to my grandad who was there. Anyways, he gave me an ointment and my skin was all better. Wasn't that a nice story boys and girls?

That would be the bloodflow returning to you capilaries that causes that.

i hate it when ur outside...at a bon fire....and ur all drunk and shit...and next thing you know ur ass and back feels like its on fire...cos you were standing too close to the fire...and all you can smell is fabric softner....lol....ahh, the good ol days
