RE: The American Girl killed by the Israeli's

I saw this on the news yesterday, and i was interested to hear what the Americans on the forum thought of this, in that, the US has backed Israel for ages now. What do you all think of this, and has your opinion changed since this incident with the Girl?

Sgt. Pepper. 03-18-2003 03:36 AM

If you look down the list we already talked about it. Alot of feedback on that.

Wilko 03-18-2003 03:41 AM

Ah, OK. I've been away for a little while, so i didn't see oOo:

RAFAH, Gaza (CNN) -- An Israeli bulldozer Sunday killed an American woman protesting the destruction of Palestinian houses in the Gaza city of Rafah on the border with Egypt, Palestinian security sources and witnesses said.

The woman, identified as Rachel Corrie, 23, of Olympia, Washington, was taken to a hospital, where she died of her injuries.

She had been part of the International Solidarity Movement, a group protesting Israeli actions in the occupied territories and recently appeared in a televised mock trial in which President Bush was accused of war crimes for his support of Israel's actions in Gaza.

I never supported Isreal neither did I ever support Palestine. Still the death of the girl is tragic. The people who said the woman who was protesting against the destruction of the civilian houses deserve to die in this forum makes me sick. And to think taht alot of them were fellow Americans makes it worst. *cough* Miller

A HUNGRY FATMAN 03-18-2003 07:50 AM

the girl was sitting in front of the fucking house and i do not like ireal they have been troble from the start. and nor do i like what the palastinians are doing eather

Bazooka_Joe 03-18-2003 09:37 AM

From reading the reports, seems like she was able to be seen, and the driver blantly ignored her, probably cuz it was a military bulldozer. I think it was wrong they didn't stop, but I still have no issue with Israel.

mrhappy 03-18-2003 09:41 AM

fuck her, shes like them tree huggers who climb the trees so the highway cant be built!!! she had plenty of time to get out of the way!!!

03-18-2003 10:05 AM

she supported the ragheads

and yes we should still support Israel, if intel I recieve is correct Saudi is on the verge of a radical islamic revolution, in this case we sill need our friends.

Sgt>Stackem 03-18-2003 11:06 AM

She got what she deserved. What kind of idiot stands in front of a bulldozer on forign land protesting whatever thinking she still has the rights we do here at home. One less tree-hugger in the gene pool!

Sounds like something you might say about Jesus Chist.

Jedi Marksman 03-18-2003 12:17 PM

It's a tragedy she died, but she assumed the risk by going there to begin with. I don't have anything against the Israelis. It was an unfortunate incident.

Big Jake 03-18-2003 01:01 PM

Ok reading this made me think of Austin Powers you know where he is driving that huge construction equipment and that guard yells STOP!!! and its all the way back there..yeah she had enough time to move
Its tragic that she had to die but, hey if I saw a huge bulldozer coming for me, I would have gotton the hell out of the way

03-18-2003 04:12 PM

heres a pic of the girl

Warning, these arent graphic to me, but they might be graphhic to you. Proceed with caution:

People need to give the jews a freaking break. First they wantdered the desert for 40 years, then there land was taken (patially because they left it) they were enslaved by the Egyptians. Blamed for Europes Problems during the middle ages. Almost wiped out and still are made fun of throught schools. Just give them the little piece of land already.

Since i cannot edit, I would just like to add to my above post.

This is to all off you that have called this girl a tree-hugger,hippie,,or whatever:

She showed more balls than any of you seem to have. She lost her life because she believed that the voilence that the Isrealite government is perpetuating against the Palastines is wrong. Would you, lay down in fornt of bulldozer to try to save someones home you don't even know. And futhermore they are not ragheads, they are human beings.
I have more respect for that woman than I do for quite a few of the people on this forum that think that they are better than everyone else. She died believe she could make the world a better place, her actions speak louder than all the military might in the world.

Big Jake 03-18-2003 05:06 PM

Her actions may have spoke louder then words but here is something to think about.
She would still be saying alot more if she was alive. Now that she is dead, she isn't saying anything is she? If you are going to fight for something, make sure its worth dying for. Dying for someone else's home which they will forget about her in a week is not worth it.

You are right, she would be saying a lot more if she were alive, would you listen to her?
What she was fighting for is worth dying for, somelse house could be yours someday.

Big Jake 03-18-2003 05:18 PM

Right now I am fighting for people I don't know. I'm in the military and everyday I put this uniform on, I'm putting my life on the line for the people of this country.
Granted she tried to do a good thing. But to me, her death was senseless. Homes can be rebuilt, but lost lives are gone forever. The Israeli/Palestine people struggle is their problem. It makes me mad that we have to interfere with the worlds troubles. We "police" the world and what thanks do we get? None at all.
If it were up to me, I would say the hell with it and just fix our problems here in America. Stop sending food out when we have starving people here at home.
Don't send our military out unless something poses a national threat to the people of the U.S.
and last but least, FUCK THE UN!!
