Joe, this is a great idea. The forum was becoming more repetitve than a Michael Bolton record...all Iraq this, Bush that.

I'll watch CNN for my war news...this forum is for escaping that kinda stuff for 5 minutes.

Yeah, great idea. I hate browsing these forums just to see 5 new threads on how much Saddam, France, protestors and Bush sucks.

I heard on the radio this morning that Saddam encouraged his people to "raise their swords against the invaders".

I'm not so sure he meant that figuratively. Can you imagine a platoon of marines, armed to the tits, being approached by 10-15 ragheaded Iraqis waving scimitars?? HAW HAW!

Platoon Leader: "Do they have swords? Am I seeing this?"

Private: "Yes sir. Scimitars, I think they're called, sir."

Platoon Leader: "Hmm...yeah. Ok. Fuck this, OPEN FIRE!"

Well, I hope you know there was irony in what he said, meaning he didn't want cowards, he wanted them to attack.

Anyways, it would STILL be funny seeing a bunch of ragheads on camels charging like calvary with swords.

According to a recent report a few weeks ago an entire group of Iraqi soldiers surrendered before a shot was fired in anger.

British paras were doing standard training near the borders and when the nearby Iraqis heard the gun-fire they surrendered instantly.

The British paras are battle hardened but they felt really sorry for these men. They had to turn them back and refuse surrender because telling them it hadn't even started yet.

That's truly sad.

Looks like the Iraqi's have been firing more Scuds in the direction of Kuwait. The last ones were fired about half an hour ago. CNN state "The troops rose to the occasion" and were angered.

Looks like joe finaly got tired of all the War threads. Well my cousin is in Kawait or watever how u fucking spell i dont even care all i know is hes out their in a war.

Damn and now some reports of burning oil wells outside of Bashra.

LOL nice, but guys try to keep it legit.

OK, So Rumsfeld basically repeated what Bush said; to drop their weapons and surrender Saddam, Not to launch weapons of mass destruction at major targets, even if under orders, it's not an excuse. He also said that he didn't want them to destroy the oil wells, Iraq's main source of income.

Supposedly, US Marines have clashed with Iraqi troops on the Kuwaiti border. Im actually glad to see the Iraqis fight, I dont want another crap war.

I was watching early this morning when saddam made his speech shortly after it was confirmed the first US strike was an attack on saddam himself.

It made me wonder, if saddam really is all powerful over his people, why the hell did he accept the glasses he has been made? Surely with his power and money he could wear something designer rather than those goggle eye specs.

I wonder if it really was him, because I have never seen him with glasses.

Probably wasn't, he's probably sitting in an undisclosed location with Dick Cheney laughing at how gullible the American public is.
