Now, it's been discussed on the DoD forums that this day would come.
I personally think this is an April fools joke played by the DoD devs..lol.

What do you guys think?

Im guessing you are referring to DoD V4.0? Well, I guess the dev's of the original should get some sort of profit, Counter-strike did, right? I woudn't pay more than 20 bucks tho, cuz the games like 5 or 6 years old (I think)

DOD is only 2 years old.

But counter strike is 5 or 6 years old i think thats what Joe is talking about

CS is coming up on it's 4th birthday. It SEEMS like it's been here for a long time, but it really hasn't. Unfortunate thing is I dont see this product getting updated ANY time soon. It still makes money, and that's all that matters.

I'd say it's fake, but you never know. I hope not, but if it is, I will definately buy it, not matter what price. DoD is too great. Best game I have next to Raven Shield, straight forward, best WW2 FPS, realistically, and historically, I don't care about graphics.

Can you guys help me get DoD running?

I have heard so many great things about it so I bought the Half Life Platinum pack (2nd Edition) and downloaded DoD, is there anything else I need like patches or anything like that?

which one is that? i look and it seems as if there are thousands of updates/patches

it would be the first one on the offical hl page, also i dont think id pay for dod even tho it does pwn all other ww2 shooters.

Correct, I was referring to the original game engine, Half-Life, was about 5 or 6 years old.

Not to mention - that April Fools Day....

Riiiiiiiiiiiiiight.

There are counter-strike ONLY copies of Counter Strike that only require COUNTER STRIKE to run. In some cases though - its simply cheaper to just BUY a 19 dollar copy of Half Life, and get the FREE mods.
