It better be a regular infantry and airborne official skin in the game. Not some gay skins, and they better have the Ross Rifle ( is that the one that we used?) and all the other british guns like we had, not some american guns.

I know this has probably been asked before but i was just wondering if their is going to be a Canadian soldier skin in mp or sp. I can understand it not being in single player but i do hope their is one in mp. Even if their isnt im sure someone will make one. So after all this rambling my post is pretty well pointless.

The Canadian army would have the same weapons and equipment as us Brits, so when some one brings out British skinsmodels u could add Canadian insignia, just a thought.

On the topic of Canadian Uniforms - Do we have a spot for our beer?

And it wasn't canada yet, it was the DOMINION of Canada because we didn't have the balls to get off the Queen's teet yet.

(My two pence worth)

Can I have the mini-picture of the Queen..please please..I want that as my sig.

Beg to differ with you captain but:

The British Commonwealth of Nations
The period between the wars brought the culmination of Canada's growth to independent nationhood within the British Commonwealth. Prime Minister Borden had been included in the Imperial War Cabinet in London. He piloted through the Imperial Conference of 1917 a resolution that the dominions "should be recognized as autonomous nations of an imperial commonwealth." To both the 1919 Peace Conference and the League of Nations Canada sent its own delegates. The Imperial Conference of 1926 confirmed in its Declaration of Equality that the United Kingdom as well as the dominions had become "autonomous Communities within the British Empire, equal in status, in no way subordinate one to another." They were, however, "united by a common allegiance to the Crown, and freely associated as members of the British Commonwealth of Nations." These resolutions were confirmed by the British Parliament in 1931 in the Statute of Westminster.

The statute provided that no law passed in the future by the United Kingdom should extend to any dominion "except at the request and with the consent of that Dominion." Canadian sovereignty thus had been achieved by a long process of peaceful constitutional evolution. This was vividly demonstrated by the independent decision of its Parliament that Canada enter World War II at the side of Britain, which it did within a week of the outbreak of hostilities in September 1939.

Captain Coleman, we used the Lee Enfield rifle. The Ross Rifle was used in WW1 and brought in by the leader of the Canadian militia, Sam Hughes, the Ross Rifle was netorious for jamming in the heat of battle but in competetion it was good for sharp shooting since it wasn`t heated fire. As for hte other weapons Canadians used, we used the Bren Gun (our light machine gun), and the British Sten gun (sub machine gun). Also, Captain Canuck, you seem to be wrong, or misinformed. We were no longer "sucking on the Queens teet". We actually began to break off from Britain in WW1 when we began commanding our own troops (with Canadian commanders). Also, there was the Chanak Affair in 1921 (or 23?) where Britain wanted us to send troops to Chanak and fight and we refused to help them. Also, we signed the Halibut Fish Treaty with the Americans, until then, we hadn`t signed any treaties on our own, it was always done thourgh British diplomats. I suggest you remove Canuck from your name, you seem misinformed about Canada, for a patriot.

Yea,
WWI got us our chance to break free. Praticulaly the Battle of Vimy Ridge. (That was a good one)

01-11-2002 05:58 AM

Yah! Canada deserves to have at least 2 official skins of their own in the full SP

Ramza 01-11-2002 06:53 AM

I feel sorry for the Canadians, and applaud them for their courage. They were "test subjects" more or less in the Dieppe Raid, and fought very hard througout the Normandy campaign. The same can be said of the Polish paratroopers who participated in Operation Market Garden.
