How do I create a CUE file?

....from a BIN file?

Old Reliable 04-06-2003 11:40 PM

i think nero has that option

cameltoe 04-06-2003 11:41 PM

dont bother use deamon tools and itll automatically load the bin and you dont have to worry about the cue.. unless theres something important about the cue i dont know about

Innoxx 04-06-2003 11:43 PM

What CUE ? When I "aqquired" this "software" all I got was a BIN.

04-06-2003 11:47 PM

you make a .cue file, then use the cue to burn the image of the .bin - you can use nero to do it, "flie" "burn image" select the .cue file

how to make a cue file:

1) open notepad
2) copy this into it
[code:db999]
FILE "yourfilename.bin" BINARY
TRACK 01 MODE1/2352
INDEX 01 00:00:00
[/code:db999]

3) save as yourfilename.cue

the .cue and .bin must be in the same folder for it to burn

Ok, I made the CUE file, I mounted it using daemon, and clicked on the autoply button on the "cd-rom" and I get "F:\ is not a valid Win32 application".

The CUE HAS to be exactly the way Bian typed it. Theres gotta be the exact amount of spaces in between the there lines.

But...

FUCK ALL THAT.

Right click DAEMON, "SELECT ALL" files, find that BIN, and mount that instead of the CUE. DAEMON can mount BINS, but just default asks for CUE's since they tell a program where to FIND the BIN.

Just use Daemon tools to load the fucker up.

Innoxx 04-07-2003 12:10 AM

Fucking christ, I think it's a borked file, I did your thing Ed and I still get that "not a valid win32 application". Pisses me off because I wasted 3 days "skillfully aqquiring" this game.

Daemon Tools icon on Systray---> Mount Driver---->Select the file you want to install.

Oh yeah, what cupcake is it?

Innoxx 04-07-2003 12:13 AM

That's what I did zxcvnm, but when I clicked on setup.exe in the artificial cd-rom drive I get that error.

I'm trying to eat American Conquest.

It is a BIN or a EXE? The only time I've gotten that error is when I tried to be all cool and make my own BIN files.

I'd try checking the size of the file, against other files from the same FILE on packetnews.com - seeing if it matches. Cause if you cant get DAEMON to mount it - its a fucked file

That...

or...

ISOBUSTER!!!!!

See if ISOBUSTER can open it and see whats inside the bin.

Innoxx 04-07-2003 12:21 AM

Ok, the BIN file mounts just fine, but when I actually click on the setup.exe to install the game it gives me that error message. The file size is 763mb like all the other ones on packetnews (with the exception of the ISO which is 600-somethingmb). I think it's a borked file, maybe I need some crack or something.

Crack it open with ISOBUSTER. It's like getting a "second opinion" from a doctor.

i donno i never get that btw i told you the same thing but i wasnt clear about mounting the bin.. when using deamon tools make sure youre not using any roxy burning software or else it screws it all up. i found out the hard way.

Innoxx 04-07-2003 12:29 AM

Well, I think I got fucked. ISObuster couldn't open it either.

Yea. That sucks. ISO is a last resort - but DAEMON is able to mount any ISO, BIN, NRG, CDI - etc....games, movie files...

I hate downloading shit and it not working.

(shudders to think how long it took him to get Neverwinter Nights with eMule)

cameltoe 04-07-2003 12:34 AM

shudders at how many failed attempts it took to get raven sheild and impossible creatures
