PC vs MAC what you Think
OK guys for all of us that have spent tons of $$$$$$$$ on PC's& upgrades and the such what would you buy if you had the Money to do it PC or MAC.
Let get ready to rumble. |
PC. Moved to offtopic.
|
PC
MAC sucks |
Nice opinion there Miller, have you even used a mac before?
|
PC
for most macs you have to buy a new comp to upgrade(unless its one of those towers) wheres the fun in that? |

What was it? What year was it?

Pc for gaming, macs are better for stuff like video editing cause theyre generally a lot more stable.

pc, because it's so much more configurable than mac

Anything that - that dumbass Jeff Goldbloom endorses is a POS.

You guys have such biased minds hake: My dad owns a Mac, at home and at work, and I have never seen wither one of them crash or have some problem. My PC on the other hand.....that's a different story.
|
Should of been *etiher.
|
You mean either? Well, I used MACs in school and they were crap. The only thing you could do was play Hyperstudio or do some shit Typing Program. I've never seen the new macs, and I don't really want too.
|
my friend had a MAC...I feel sorry for him...he is so pissed he can't afford to buy a PC.
|
PC - here is why.
The only argument for Mac over PC has always been a two-pronged attack. A) Macs are more stable B) Better for video/music editing First, the stability issue: With the coming of XP, and the advancement of Plug-n-Play devices, PCs have become much more stable for the everyday user (one who doesn't run a lot of tweaks). Since XP was released, and I installed it on my computer, the OS has never crashed. I've had to do one system restore from messing up a tweak. My friend's Mac, according to him, locks up regularly when his music editing starts getting intense. Mind you he spent over $6,000 on his system. Secondly, the video/music editing: This, contrary to what some people say, was always a Mac strong-point because of the software, not the actual machine. While yes, a Mac does have a 128-bit architecture, as opposed to a 32-bit architecture, the Mac has never really fully harnessed the potential therein, and has and still is held back by other components of the system, such as RAM. However, with the release of software such as Reason for the PC, Macs have dropped yet another rung on the ladder. Now, throw in the lack of software, support from software publishers, and compatibility issues with peripherals, and you've got yourself one giant pain in the ass. And let's not forget the problems with modding games oOo: |
well, PC of course
My damn computer lab at school consists of ALL NEW Apple IMacs. Ghey pieces of shit. I put my floppy disk in to save my English Literary Analysis and come home to open the file on my PC. The document was corrupted and showed all Rectangles. Now i have to re-wrtie my damn paper. AND YES, the program on the imac was a "word" program. The school got it for free i guess. I want to burn every MAC that i ever come in contact with. |
mac is teh gay,
PC fo life ( or until they think of something better) |
PC, if you want stability for *gasp* actually doing work, you can always put Linux on a dual-boot partition. So you can go from gaming to useful work in one restart. (given that you know how to use Linux, which isn't that hard)
I am not a mac fan, I never could get used to the one mouse button concept and like someone already said PCs are upgradable. |
You can't beat Macs for multimedia production...end of story.
For everyday computing and gaming, I'll take a PC. |
PC, Macs always shit out on me.
And lets see, how many games are out for Mac? hake: |

i have a funny ass video for this, if anyone wants to host it plz pm me
|
Well now this is what i am talking feed back from the Community about some thing usefull instead of cheats and other nonsense. But my freind at work had his wife spend on him some thing like 3 to 4 thousnad dollars on
MAC. Damn what a waste of $$$$$$$$$. |
If you want to design anything, MAC's are a much better solution. Yes I've worked with both. However for home users, I don't think you can beat a PC. Upgrades, available software and ease of use, the PC eats the Mac up in the home department.

BIased people... i swear, all you, for the most part is say MAC's suck and where do you get this? where is the proof? the only reason you say this is because you have used windows all of your fucking life!!! if you take the average person who hasnt used a computer before in their life, they will prefer, 100% guarantee, the MAC. ONe reason being is that macs are easier to use. MAC's are UNIX based OS, one of the most, if not the most, complex systems to use! Apple, took that system and made it the easiest in the world to use. MAC's were also the first, Quality over quanity, thus the Ghz battles, (macs won) if you take a dual 1ghz pc against a dual 1ghz MAc and run... oh say Maya, the mac will win, thus the "macs are better for video-ing and stuff debate". PC's, if you have the game argument, will get you abso-fuckin-lutely NOWHERE in life, dont waste your money on a gaming machine, they will NOT, i repeat, will NOT, get you anywhere in life. MAC's on the other hand WILL, because they can do useful things, video/music stuff. SO, if you are young and dont have a career, go for the PC, it will be better for that part of your life. But when you get a career (most modern ones) buy the mac and use it for your job. if you have any questions cruise around the Apple site and check out stuff. [url:c35d8]http://www.apple.com[/url:c35d8] And be sure to look at the Apple-Switch stuff! eatthis:
